| Just to clear up about the term teacup. It doesn't mean your puppy is a "mutt". The term teacup is a marketing ploy that if frowned upon by reputable breeders. The standard for yorkies is under 7 lbs with the average being between 4- 7 pounds. Females under 5 lbs should not be bred. Good breeders are trying to breed Yorkies that conform to the standard and that are healthy. There are many breeders out there that are just concerned with breeding tiny pups and selling them for large sums with little regard to good breeding practices. |

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Some good suggestions here; you mentioned having kids, where are you feeding your puppy? If possible have a quiet place to feed him. I am not a great fan of leaving food out all day; but then I have a multi animal home. I want to know how much they are eating. At over 3months old - hypoglycemia may or maynot become a problem. Really it is dependent more on how much he weighs. You can get a rough feel for that by using a kitchen scale - or your bathroom scale. At 3months old a rough rule of thumb is to double the puppy weight to get an approximation of adult weight. If your breeder thinks he will be 3lbs fully grown, then that means he should currently weigh around 1.5 lbs. I second the opinion to get your dog in (if you have not done so already) to your vet. Many health guarantees are null and void if you don't. But more importantly it is the proper action to take for the health of your puppy.

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | From their site: sugar tree yorkies Health Guarantee Warranty Limitations and Exclusions after Sale Breeder: Address: Phone: Email: Date: Purchasers Name: Address: Phone: email: Puppy Description: Breed: Color: DOB: Method of Payment: Final Sale price: Shipping: Our puppies are all registered with the American Kennel Club, de-wormed twice, veterinarian examined and given their first two sets of vaccinations. Validation of this guarantee requires examination of your puppy by the vet of your choice and at the purchasers expense within 48 hours of the delivery date. This veterinary examination is mandatory to confirm that your puppy was not sick or injured at the time of delivery. Purchaser is responsible for any and all shipping fees including the crate to ship in. If for any reason a puppy or adult is to be shipped back to breeder the purchaser is responsible for shipping fees. The breeder guarantees the puppy until 1 year of age against life threatening congenital or hereditary defects. If the puppy has a life threatening congenital or life threatening hereditary defect, it will be replaced with the first available puppy of the same value from the breeders stock, as soon as possible. The original puppy must not be altered (spayed or neutered) if purchased as a breeder. If puppy is altered this contract is null and void. This guarantee does not include: temperament, size, color, hernias, hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, or giarida. We also do not guarantee against Luxating Patella due to the many factors and causes of said condition, ie, an injury can cause luxating patella. The original puppy must be returned (at owners expense) before a new puppy can be delivered. No one may keep the original puppy, it must be returned. The purchaser is responsible for any shipping fees for the replacement puppy. In the event of death, an autopsy must be preformed, (at owners expense), by a licensed veterinarian to determine the exact cause of death. The report from the autopsy must be sent to my attending veterinarian for review. Once puppy is purchased, the owner is responsible for all appropriate care. Warranty, guarantee and this contract is not transferable to other owners. All sales are final. It is up to us, the breeder, to decide when a puppy is ready to be shipped. Shipping dates may be changed due to flight conditions, weather conditions or any other concerns. The purchaser is responsible for any shipping fees and or crates needed to deliver puppy safely to new home. All of our puppies are sold with limited registration as pets only, we do not offer breeding rights. Any and all payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS. Only replacements will be made, NO CASH REFUNDS. If payments are made by credit/debit cards, buyer agrees that under no circumstances will payment be charged back to the credit/debit card used. This contract contains the entire agreement between the parties and no statement, promises, or inducements made by either party that is not contained in the written contract shall be valid or binding. This contract may not be modified or altered except in writing signed by both parties and endorsed herein. By purchasing your puppy(s) you the buyer agree that you have read, understand, and accept the terms of this contract. I understand that if a dispute should arise, all settlements will be made in the venue of Phelps County MO. Breeder_______________________ Buyer____________________________ Date________________________ A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $200 is required to hold a puppy until it is old enough to be shipped. No puppy is considered sold until a deposit is received. Full payment for the puppy must be made within 30 days of the deposit. If a deposit has been made, the final payment will be due 3 days prior to shipping. If not received on time the deposit is retained by the seller and the puppy will be re-listed. If not received on time the deposit is retained by the seller and the puppy will be re-listed. No shipping arrangements will be made until the breeder has received all documents mentioned in the contract. This contract must be signed and returned before a deposit can be made on a puppy. I, _______________________ agree to the terms and conditions given in this contract by Sugar Tree Yorkies. DATE: ___________________ BUYER SIGNATURE: _____________________ DATE: ___________________ SELLER SIGNATURE: _____________________ This is not much of a guarantee as they require return of the puppy and a replacement puppy. Also the term *life threatening* is really open to interpretation Is Liver shunt life threatening, or Leggs Perthes? Important Note: No shots of any kind need to be given for 7 days from the time you get your puppy. Giving shots right after you get them will lead to more stress and the puppy can become sick. Your puppy will need time to become comfortable with their new home, owners and surroundings. The puppy should be confined to the house for at least 5-7 days before taking them out and about. This will help with their stress levels and ultimately be healthier for the puppy. *Please scan and email your signed copy as soon as possible. Also, please mail the original signed copy. | YT 2000 Club Donating Member | If you are asking is this a *normal* health guarantee, I would sadly have to say yes. But the only person it basically protects is the breeder; again in my opinion. I would suggest you look into pet insurance that covers genetic defects; and this is no slur on the breeder, but Yorkies do have some major health concerns, and many are very expensive to treat.

| I dont think a little bit off sugar in the water is going to cause that but when a qualified vet comes on here and says it does I wont recommend it. My vet told me I could give nutrical that has sugar as little or as much as I want. He said I wasnt going to prevent hypoglycemia by givving it but it wasnt going to hurt anything by giving it either so Im going by a vet opinion
