| I wouldn't think too much about that. I dont think by Monkey being mean to the pup at first will make her turn out to have a mean personality etc. It will take some time for them to get aquainted....I do think you're right on the part where the other dogs need to get over their loss first before moving onto a new dog....i would take it slow and try not to worry so much. Everything will work out fine.

| When my dad died 2 years ago. His dog grieved right along with us for him. She went around for months looking for him. My mom even snuck her into the hospital one evening and laid her in the bed beside of him and she laid right there with his hand on her head. Dogs most definitely grieve. I had someone tell me that dogs don't have souls. I had to bite my tongue to keep from having words with him. I told my husband I thought he was wrong that I know that they do have souls. I honestly think that your two will get along great once Monkey is through the grieving process. Just give him time.

| That is so sad that Monkey is grieving. Besides dealing with the loss, he most likely picks up on your sadness you are feeling too. Poor little thing...I hope he gets better soon!!!
