YT Addict | ![]() Lol cute yep they are stubborn. I had boo three weeks and he would not go outside. Three hours one day and he went when he got back in the house in his diaper. So one day i took him for a walk. I have back problems so walks are rough. But we go about a block and he went. So now i will be asleep and he jumps on my side and crawls to my ear and licks me till i get up. Tonday was the first time in a month he went out side to wet all day. With a walk of coarse. Pood once outside and once inside. Not sure what i will do when i have my neck surgery 12 weeks recovery. Hoped he would just go outside without the walk. We will see. |

| ![]() perhaps she does not want to potty inside on a pad, I had the same battle with Lola for a month, boy was she stubborn about not using it. Then if she went on the pad or near it she walked all through it. then someone suggested I start taking her outside, and she took to it in a few days. She is 100% housebroken and my house does not smell like it did with my last dog. She can easily hold herself for 8 hours if needed and rings a jingle bell if she wants to be let out. We live in MI and get lots of snow and it is very cold, so in the winter, we clean a small area outside our front door, when it's time for her to go I open the door hold a long lead she runs outside and in one min or less she does her business and comes right back in. I know this does not work for everyone but after having a pup that used a potty pad vs one that goes outside, I would choose outside over pee pads any day.

| ![]() not sure if this is true but a retired vet that lives on my street says it's just not natural to a dog to go inside on a paper so some do not all take to it at all. I also know that after having 5 yorkies the ones that went outside vs inside had far fewer accidents than those that used a paper. My last guy had access to his pad 24/7 yet he would still occasionally go on throw rugs. This made it hard to bring him to friends and families homes, most did not want pee pads in their living room, plus even if I brought the pad I could not trust him.
