| Mine goes out and does their business and comes right back in. I have shoveled paths around the yard for them but their little feet get cold and they want in. We have a pet door so they can come in and out as they like. It is so nice to have one of these. |

| Yorkies and snow Never leave him out there alone. Their feet can freeze up and they cannot move so watch him every minute being ready to grab him and bring him in. A little young guy like that can easily chill. You are better to do as suggested, shovel an area for him so he isn't standing in the snow so much. Lorraine Loriben Yorkies |

| Macy will only stay out for like 2 minutes- she refuses to use the bathroom outside in the snow! She doesn't like the cold, we tried boots she didn't like them either- so she is in and out in a flash!

| Not Long! I put a coat on Snoodles and she stays out until she goes --which I can tell you is pretty quick! Today though, it was 40 degress out and she wanted to stay out longer, running and jumping and eating the dang stuff! I called her in though as I was getting cold! Pat |

| does this mean those of you that live in REALLY cold places don't take your dogs for walks? I am curious b/c I live in So. CA but we are visiting Tahoe soon. Is taking Shelby for a walk a bad idea? With sweater and boots? Will they really even walk a few blocks with boots? |

| Macy will walk about 20 steps in her boots and that is it! In the summer we go for walks but this is our first winter and we have yet to go outside just to walk. It is to "TRY" and use go to the bathroom- (she wont outside) or just to go to the car, she goes everywhere but to work with us.

| You can take them for walks in the winter although, One has to use caution! If it is above 35 degrees, SNoodles can take a walk for about 20 minutes ---with her coat on. As to booties, --Good Luck! Snoodles will not tolerate them period! Waste of money for me. If it is colder, as happpens a lot here in Montana, I just play ball and stuff with her longer so she can get exercise that way. When winter first came, she would not want to go outside, Open the door and she would back up as if to say, "Are you kiddin" me?" But now she readily goes out--even when it was 30 below! But, I just left her out long enough to do her stuff! So, just see how it goes when you are in Tahoe! She will let you know! If she is shivering, or really lifting her paws as if they hurt, then pick her up and carry her back! Good Luck! Pat |
