| Lucy's, Kwigy, or Jaradén? Ugh, I'm so torn. I've been watching reviews on youtube about dog carriers. I want the best for Darla so I try to make the most educated decision I can when it comes to her supplies and accessories. I was gonna go with the Michael Kors but I got to thinking, yea it'll match all my other Michael Kors bags BUT the company mostly focuses on human products and not dog products. Also apparently they are out of stock on the Michael Kors website so it's completely out of the question now. The three brands I'm considering now is Kwigy Bo Alex Luxury carrier, the Lucy's Luxuries line of dog carriers, and the Jaradén Shacara in pink. Apparently Lucy's luxuries is coming out with a new harness line so they don't have many carriers in stock at the moment. Anyways what's your alls stance on these three brands? Do any of you all have any of the brands I mentioned? Have you been leaning towards one brand or another to buy a carrier from in he near future? If so what makes you like it over the other brands? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

| to me it depends how you use it. Do you plan on flying with her, do you plan on trying to sneak her in places, do you want to shop with her, do you want her to sleep in it. I have about 5 pet carriers and even bought the top of the line Jaden one, they call it the Winsor, it was beautiful but to me to heavy, and to rigid and not comfortable for Lola who is 6 lbs. I wound up donating it to Yorkie Haven. I found my favorite one at Home Goods when I wasn't even looking for one. It' roomy and has good ventilation and we travel with it. To me there are so many decent no name brand carriers out there that I will now not spend the money on an big time name brand. Another option especially for a puppy is a sling, they are not to expensive and they are comfy for the pet to be in, but there is no structure so unless you are holding it like a shoulder bag it it will not work. I have a friend that uses her carry bag like a crate so she needs a different type than I would. If I had young puppy, I would hold off spending big bucks and get something cheaper until I saw how big she got and how I planned to use it. While Lola was a puppy taking her places were a novelty but not it's kind of a pain so I rarely do it.

| I really like the Jaradén because of the pink stylish zebra print. Then again it's not very timeless so it could become dated sooner than later and then I'd have to buy a new one. So maybe black gray or brown would be better color options. |

| I want a carrier to be incognito if I ever was put in a situation like I was with Target, where I have a well behaved dog, but the establishment doesn't allow dogs because not all owners are responsible with leashes or carriers (unfortunately). If it comes to that situation then I want to be able to have her with me and not draw attention or cause a scene. I may look into a sling for her as well for trips to places that she is allowed to go. The comfort of the carrier is key and I like how thick the cushions are in the brands I mentioned. I also have a car seat for her so this carrier wouldn't be something that I'd use for a car ride. I plan to keep it in the trunk of my car for instances where I'm at petsmart and I don't want to hold her because I need to shop with both hands but Heaven forbid I out her in a germ infested buggy (I used a buggy cover even for my skin kids.). A sling would work well in this sort of instance as well and would probably be the most comfy. I know they make slings for newborn human kids too and I had heard of reports of newborns smothering in them. So that would be my concern with a sling and Darla falling asleep and smothering or something. |

| I'm glad you mentioned it's well made. That's a big thing I was wondering about. That sets my mind at ease. Thanks for commenting. |

| I like the jaraden. I have had the kwigy and several different model/styles of the jaraden. I sell the jaraden and the kwigy. I stoped selling the kwigy because they do not follow through and are often out of stock. Jaraden has excellent customer service. I have had the soho (lime green loved it) and now I have the sharecare... love it. I just ordered the windsor (leather) I also like the quilted petote.

| I would wait until you know how big she'll get to spend a lot. Lola was charting to be about 5lbs, she's almost 7lbs. I have the jaraden soho in purple, Lola barely fits in it with her head poking out, she's too big to be shut in it. I wouldn't buy it for a dog over 4lbs. I'm thinking about selling it and buying the snoozer kelsey bag. I've seen the pink zebra bags in person, I think it looks cheap and the fabric would be hard to keep clean. |
