My jaw just hit the floor!!!! I just bought a Biewer YESTERDAY!! I was told that Biewers were Yorkies - I googled Biewers and the information I read said the samething, difference being they are "tri-colored".
Paci was in the same kennel as two teacup Yorkies. Because of my youngest two daughters, I bought the Biewer (5 1/2 lb as an adult) instead of the Teacup Yorkies (3 1/2 lbs as adults). I was afraid of the small size. Additionally, the Biewer was $1000 and a Teacup Yorkie was $2,500.
Are you saying that Biewers are NOT Yorkies?

For starters, I don't know how you could go about stopping her from selling dogs that aren't what she says they are. She will breed and breed and make a buck off of anyone who isn't aware of backyard breeder's tactics. That's what she is, a backyard breeder, and there are thousands more like her. Putting people in the same position you're in now.

What I would do is fill out as many different reviews on every website you can think of, warning people of what she is doing. If she has a website, you can go to the bottom of this web page and click edit tags. If you enter her name/kennel name as a tag, this thread will show up when people google her. Obviously you want to be sure of Maizy's DNA test before you out her breeder, but in order to stop her from getting business and scamming other people, you have to educate those people.

You should ALWAYS ALWAYS ask to see both parents in PERSON and a pedigree and AKC (BTRA/BBIR for Biewers).

I have learned my lesson about not researching breeders found on kijiji! Unfortunately, this situation has gone from bad to worse today; she has gone off the deep end, ranting and raving and made some pretty nasty threats to me today, for which I've now been in touch with the police about. The police asked me to document everything and if I notice anything out of the ordinary (such as slashed tires, etc) to come in and file a report on her. He told me I could report her to the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) but to be careful about posting her name online as she could come after me with a civil suit. It makes my heart hurt to know that there are these hateful kinds of people out there who are using animals, the innocent victims who have no voice, to satisfy their own greed...and continue to get away with it! So, even though it goes against my inner need to bring accountability to those who are dishonest and cheat people, I will run a DNA for my own peace of mind, but will not play with bullies, will let this go and just be thankful that I got to be this little girls mama!! In the end...I'm the winner cuz I've got the worlds cutest, craziest and naughtiest but sweetest little whatchamacallit breed!!

Wow I can't believe the breeder has come down to this. Make sure you print any email or text she has send you for your own records. I wish some recent posters would read this tread of researching breeders as to they think we are just making these situations up. We just comment to pass good knowledge.

I know, right? If it wasn't happening to me, I probably wouldn't believe it! lol I have been completely professional in all my correspondence to her and never, ever accused her of anything as I don't have any proof yet (I watch Judge Judy and know how this works and what not to say to make yourself look stupid!). Just asked if there was the possibility that there was a mixup somewhere along the lines or if she had any thoughts on everything. Never expected this! I like to keep my life drama free...it's why I have dogs!!

Drama is an understatement, it's obvious this woman is a scammer, trying to frighten & bully you. But you are better off just getting a DNA "for your self" and let that woman be. your lil whatchamacallit, is adorable, she will be your forever friend. There's enough stress you have to deal with on a day to day basis. Bringing a new baby into your life should be a joyful event, not what you are having to deal with. IF there is ever ANOTHER TIME, you will be more careful and have a wealth of knowledge from joining YT. (((hugs)))

I THOUGHT I was buying a Biewer yesterday and replied to your post earlier and then called my buyer but it turns out I bought a Yorkie. I think your puppy is adorable! It reminds me of the terrier I had when I was pregnant with my 16 year old daughter...

Yorkie or Biewer...that is a beautiful little pup!! There is nothing on earth cuter than these little dogs!! And I'm not biased...AT ALL!!

the DNA is just for you, so that you know if she's mixed with another breed or a yorkie. At this point your lil "whatchamacallit" has captured your heart, it doesn't matter at this point, for me, myself, I would like to know what breed or breeds she came from, I feel this info. will be helpful in understanding her personality. If she's mixed with jack Russell you can read up on that breed to see if lil "whatchamacallit" has any characteristics. DNA is just for you. Enjoy that lil girl

Jack Russell characteristics?? LOL...if being the naughtiest little dog on the block is a JR characteristic, then yup, she has 'em!! There is NOTHING this girl doesn't get in to. If she and her sister have bones, she'll hide hers and steal Ella's right out of her mouth, if the dishwasher is open, she's in there "cleaning" the dishes, if the garbage cupboard is open she's getting herself a "snack" and if I happen to leave my coat lying on a chair, she gets into my coat pocket pulls out a mint or a $20...doesn't matter to her, she'll eat both!

This is exactly why I want to know her breed...so I can prepare myself! LOL

Yorkies are the same way, well my 3 girls were, and my newly adopted 2 y/o lil boy is no diff. Yorkies are mischievous lil imps, always looking for TROUBLE. watch out for tissues, napkins, toilet tissue, they'll rip it up into shreds, you'll be picking spit balls of paper out of your carpeting. They are so cute lol.

Did you get to see a pedigree?

A biewer bred to a Yorkie is a big no-no. No responsible registry will register this mix. If you think the dog is part JR terroir, I would do the DNA test?

Are you both in the same state? Take her to small claims court for your costs.
