| One of the things that she can try to do is put huge neon colored signs everywhere so that the whole city knows he is missing. If he is found, no one knows who to call since he is not even wearing a collar. Put flyers in windshields all over the place, freeway off ramps, major intersections, etc. |

| I just found this website Petsearchers Canada | Petsearchers Canada – Bloodhound tracking and Pet Detective Services for lost and missing dogs and cats. They are in Canada but close to the border. Or perhaps they know someone reputable in Washington state. |

| Oh no! My heart goes out to Jasper and his owner. Sending positive thoughts your friend's way and hoping to hear about a reunion... soon! So true that they are so darned adorable that someone will want to help him get into a nice and warm place. I know that I would! |

| Am I the only one thinking he was stolen considering he went missing from a fenced back yard? Unless they found evidence that Jasper ran away like by digging a hole under the fence. IF he was stolen, perhaps you'd have a better chance of getting him back by offering a reward? I'm sure a lot of us have read stories where crooks steal pets waiting for a offer of reward for the return of their beloved pet. I hope they find him soon... |

| she found a tiny area by the fence that looks like he could have possibly dug underneath, otherwise he was stolen. He still hasn't been found so far as I know. She has signs up all over and has went to vets , pounds and shelters. They are doing all they can to find him and I know she appreciates all of the prayers. Still prayin for a miracle. He probably is in someones care right now...which of course is better than being out in the weather but wish they'd contact her. I'll let her know all of the ideas here to find him, thank you all so much :-). |

Asking the children and old people in the neighborhoods she's looking in will help. They often see everything that goes on and kids notice dogs out and about. And tell her if she get him back, microchip that baby and keep his ID tag on him at all times, especially when he's outside and never let him outside alone and unobserved. Chances are he might be home now if he had a chip and/or ID tag or both.

| Call all local shelters & give them your info & you have to physicaly go to the shelters to look for him as some shelters workers don't know one breed from another & often mislabel the breed on the kennel cards. Also call the local news paper & place a lost add as that's usualy the 1st place people check when they find a dog. |

| I know it won't do any good but tell her beating herself up won't do anything but make her more stressed and sick than she is now and won't change anything but hopefully some of the readers of this thread with unchipped dogs or dogs w/out ID tags will read about chipping and tags and maybe think about it. If this thread can prevent one little dog from staying lost even a day less it's worth mentioning microchipping and ID tags and even if it's just another one or two percent chance of finding their way home, it might be worth it to some. It sure is to me. But neither is a guarantee and if he were stolen, no help at all. We're praying and pulling for her that her baby is safe somewhere while his present guardian is looking for his owner. Many, many lost Yorkies do find their way home after weeks of being lost!

| that is true, it's an important although heartbreaking reminder to chip and tag our fur babies. Checking perimeters of fenced yards and always monitoring the little rascals also critically important. People love these little little dogs. I know I do :-) |

| Absolutely. But be sure to tell your friend she's under way too much stress to fret over past things, try to stay positive and hopeful and who knows, maybe there will be a happy, happy homecoming one day soon.

| I will for sure tell her that :-) She's got so many praying, posting, calling, walking...if he's around he'll be found and if someone who has a heart found him, he'll be returned. |

| I'm sure your friend has posters up everywhere but has she talked with any of her neighbors? I had a neighbor who's cat took off when the door was opened. She went missing for about 2 weeks. One of the neighbors I asked to keep an eye out on spotted the cat sitting under a tree in the neighborhood next to ours. Poor thing must've not eaten for a while since she was so skinny... How about putting posters at pet stores near the home? I really hope your friend finds her soon... Please keep us posted. |
