| All you need to do is google 'chocolate yorkie pictures' and you will find all kinds of pictures of chocolate yorkies. Here is the link: https://www.google.com/#q=chocolate+yorkie+pictures Personally I don't care for their look but then I just love traditional yorkies bred to the AKC standard.

| I also want to add that I imagine the type of coats would vary among the chocolate yorkies the same as they would when breeding traditional yorkies. You would need to look at the coat of the parents but even then you might not know what kind of coat texture the pups would have because often the coat can be totally different than both parents.

| They have the same coat as a standard yorkies just brown. They can be sorta hard to find because they are "accidents or color faults". No reputable breeder will breed for them they just happen sometimes. As cute as they are you really don't want to go to a breeder who sells and breeds for them because more then likely they are a shady breeder and doing it for money which could end you up with a sick pup.

| I think they are cute...well, I think all yorkies are cute....but I also think that it sucks that some shady breeders are specifically breeding for them and then trying to market them as some rare kind of yorkie that costs way more than the traditional ones. It's just a money making gimmick and in the long run, if they are breeding them intentionally, it's just going to put more "non-traditonal" yorkie lines in the breeding/gene pool and make it that much harder to breed to traditional color standard for a show quality yorkie. Having said all that....if I were buying a pup and found a reputable breeder who happened to have accidentally gotten a chocolate yorkie, I definitely wouldn't mind having a yorkie of that color if I were looking for a pet quality pup. |

| The breeder we found did breed Normals and Chocolates. Both of Yoshi's parents were chocolates. They did not market them as rare and were the same prices as the normal colored ones. She bred in home and the house was very clean, all the pups and dogs seemed to love her, and very well behaved. She offered every thing that we could have wanted. Genetic Health guarantee for a year, akc registered, chipped, constantly keeping up with us on his progress. She has emailed us once a week to check on him, make sure everything is going fine. And has provided us tips on training him. So after experiencing this I would not state that all Chocolate Yorkie breeders are as terrible as people make them out to be. There are bad breeders everywhere, breeders claiming Teacup, Micro, etc. Its all the same. All we wanted was a healthy, happy, adorable little yorkie. | Yes we received proof of the genetic testing, and she required him stay with her until he was at least 12 weeks. However we did not pick him up until he was almost 16 weeks because he was a christmas present. Both of his parents were over 5 lbs, his mother 8 and his dad was 5.5. Why is a recessive color considered a "Fault" thats as if saying every one with blue eyes is a "Fault". But then again, I am not into showing or breeding dogs nor could I even be slightly interested in it. I was only looking for a perfectly happy healthy puppy that would make a great addition to our family. And both my Fiance and myself found the chocolate colors to be more appealing. I just don't understand how if breeding correctly for healthy puppies and maintaing a healthy line. |
