I think they are cute...well, I think all yorkies are cute....but I also think that it sucks that some shady breeders are specifically breeding for them and then trying to market them as some rare kind of yorkie that costs way more than the traditional ones. It's just a money making gimmick and in the long run, if they are breeding them intentionally, it's just going to put more "non-traditonal" yorkie lines in the breeding/gene pool and make it that much harder to breed to traditional color standard for a show quality yorkie.
Having said all that....if I were buying a pup and found a reputable breeder who happened to have accidentally gotten a chocolate yorkie, I definitely wouldn't mind having a yorkie of that color if I were looking for a pet quality pup. |
