| Disturbing news. I found this on facebook. I'm not a breeder, but I think there are many good quality breeders/exhibitors out there that need to read this. AKC & HUNTE PUPPY MILL HISTORY DOCUMENTS DECADES OF COLLUSION, by TheDogPress

| Well, well, well....USDA has loaned Hunte about 4 million dollars....tax payer dollars.....to expand HIS empire....wonder if THAT is where the money comes to help pass legislation for the USDA to regulate breeders and impose financially prohibitive restrictions on breeders that do not own 100+ dogs for comercial breeding purposes. Very interesting.....seems like one hand washes the other...... |

I did however find this when I first looked at the site Website Disclaimer Affiliates TheDogPlace or TheDogPress Let me know if you know of a discussion group or other where they are talking about this if you know of any. A couple other groups that I do work with are also fact checking this information and website. Thanks in advance for any input. p.s. Hunte Corp is my dream takedown and I will one day see them closed.

| The AKC is always out there with their lawyers trying to stop any and all legislation that would restrict puppy mill operation. They contact their membership and tell them that their right to breed at their well cared for and legal breeding facility is being targeted by the state. Few bother to read the legislation or offer amendments to improve the bill, they just do as the AKC (who benefits from all the puppy mill registrations) tells them to do. Many, many attempts to stop the abuse of animals in these mills have been stopped not by the puppy millers themselves but by the AKC. If AKC really was concerned about the welfare of the animals and not their pocketbook, they would employ their lawyers to work with state legislators to write and enact laws that would protect the true hobby breeder but put a stop to the suffering of the millions of dogs produced annually in puppy mills. That has not happened. Instead they continue to fight legislation that would stop the mass production and abuse of dogs in this country. |

It's true, I contacted the CKC about a breeder who had registered dogs but what cross breeding. As long as she is not a member, she can register offspring of CKC purebred registered dogs, just not the mixed breed dogs. But no they won't disallow her from registering any of her dogs as she isn't a registered breeder, only her dogs were registered. I'm sure the breeders who sold her their breeding rights are kicking themselves | |
