Many, many attempts to stop the abuse of animals in these mills have been stopped not by the puppy millers themselves but by the AKC.

If AKC really was concerned about the welfare of the animals and not their pocketbook, they would employ their lawyers to work with state legislators to write and enact laws that would protect the true hobby breeder but put a stop to the suffering of the millions of dogs produced annually in puppy mills. That has not happened. Instead they continue to fight legislation that would stop the mass production and abuse of dogs in this country.
Fortunately, there are those of us that are very knowledgable about legislation against breeders, and do not follow like lemmings all the people that hear the words "puppy mill" and automatically blindly fall in lock step with misguided and uninformed masses. We are very politically and financially involved in the fight against the legislation and proposed bills that are continually being put before lawmakers in the attempts to stop small responsible breeders from breeding healthy dogs. We will continue to fight against more regulations and focus on enforcement of laws that are already on the books against animal abuse, animal cruelty, puppy mills, etc. Of course, that will not serve the ultimate purpose of their agenda. Last week, I received a request for a generous donation to support legislation against the "factory raised farm animals", which is the next step in the agenda to eventually outlaw raising farm animals for human consumption....beef, poultry, pork, etc. will some day no longer be available to eat. The vegan agenda will indeed come to pass. I guess as long as it is a USDA sanctioned commercial mass breeding facility, like Hunte, it is not a puppy mill at all.
