On the bright side I have a beautiful one that Hot Rod's mom made, and she was kind enough to rush it for me. It's one of her Kisse Collars and I will take a picture of it to post. It will be soft and comfy.

Thank you for sharing Lola's story. Hopefully it will encourage pet owners to research insurance policies and to see the benefits of how important pet insurance can be.

I'm so sorry Lola's having to go through this. Praying your vet will be able to reset her leg without surgery and that she recovers quickly.

Wonderful! We use her soft cones too. Hot Rod's mom/Bo is a sweetheart.

Oh poor Lola! Did she have the surgery today? Thank you for sharing your story. It really pushed me to get insurance for Izzy! I am going to research this week.

I signed up for pet insurance the day Jess broke her leg. Unfort to late for that but at least I have it for future problems.

If you need any experience with broken legs and recoup message me. I went through it this year with Jess and it was a bad break as well. She is now running around like it never happened.

I'm so sorry for what your little girl has had to go through. You are very wise to advise people to get pet insurance. Although it is true the insurance only reimburses the vet and you have to pay the bill up front...at least you know the money is there. Some people have a credit card set aside for just such an emergency. They can pay the bill with the credit card and then pay off the credit card with the insurance payment. You do what you have to do.

The other thing is that some people seem to think that some of us are over protective of our little babies but just the fact that the OP's little girl broke her leg by jumping off a bed shows that they can be fragile. We can't always be there to protect them from every possible danger, try as we may.

Thank you so much for your well wishes! She did have surgery, stayed overnight and came back to me yesterday.

She is doing really well but getting a little dirty! I'm trying to think of the best way to clean that little baby. Wet wipes? I can't get the cast wet

Lola is doing really well today, not eating as much as I would like, but doesn't seem to be in any pain. They gave her the cutest pink cast!
