| ![]() I have a 22 month old Yorkie and I put him a Buddy Belt after reading so many good things about the product, when he was 6 months old. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. Re, if your baby pulls on the leash when you are walking, the leash should be no longer than 6 foot, (I have tied a knot in the leash at 3 feet, so my baby walks right next to me, definitely NOT a retractable one as you really have no control of the dog. YOU need to be in control, so when he/she pulls, you can gently pull him back so he is walking at your side. He/she will learn very quickly, just be constistant and the reward is great! Good luck. |

| ![]() If pulling is an issue get the easy walk silk harness. The leash clips in the front so pups cannot pull with all their might |

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Buddy Belts are the way to go. I ordered mine from Kristin when Teeka was 6 months and Tatiana was 4 months. They have not outgrown them and they look as new as the day I got them!

| ![]() I am going to be ordering buddy belts for my boys!! I was waiting until I got them winter jackets so I could match the harnesses to the jackets...but Ricky's harness ripped so now it's more of a necessity. They've got so many different colors...picking out which colors I want is hard!! |

| ![]() harnesses seem to be a personal choice, the best and most secure ones buckle on the top of the dog. I have the choke free step in leather and I use it under clothes that don't have d rings and you can not see it, I like it very much. I also have several from Wallmart that were less than $10.00 and are VERY secure and comfortable, they fit like a vest and both Velcro's and clips with double rings on the top of the back. I actually feel that this one might be more comfortable than the choke free. I just tried a new style that I like a lot for $8.50 plus shipping. It is custom made to your dogs size. It is EXTREMELY well made, heavy duty cotton duck with a pad like interfacing, lots of industrial strength Velcro, comfortable fit and it closes on top with two very secure d rings and it very easy to put on. Plus she added the cutest little charm to Lola's vest. I was extremely impressed by the quality, I think it is worth more than double what I paid. leopard print step inharness by dressmeupscottie on Etsy

| ![]() I use a Puppia step-in harness. There are different types of Puppia harnesses--I chose one that has a big velcro across the back plus one buckle. We are on our second harness because Toby outgrew the first one. Two thumbs up! I love that the buckle is one that my daughter can fasten/unfasten.

| ![]() I just bought a buddy belt for each of my boys today!! I had such a hard time picking out the colors. I spent DAYS(literally) trying to decide whether I should be practical and get a color that matched everything, like black or brown...or go all out since there are so many cool colors to pick from. I ended up going with Dogzilla for my younger dog and Cocoa for my old guy. I can't wait for them to arrive in the mail!! I Last edited by theporkieyorkie; 08-22-2013 at 07:53 PM. |
