| ![]() I just switched from RC to Artemis. Lucy took to it right away. I didn't even have to wean off RC. For me, it was a toss up between Artemis & Orijen. My local pet store had Artemis, so that's what we use. My pet store also carried a bunch of samples of other brands that I picked up -- just in case. If you have a good local store, maybe you can find samples there too. |

| ![]() I would definitely switch. We feed Acana, but there are several other good kibbles out there. I would also recommend raw or homecooking.

| ![]() personally, I would change from Science Diet!!!! If your dog isn't sick or really picky, Science Diet isn't a good food really. Check out Dog Food Advisor.com they have done a total break down of most of the dog foods on the market today and they'll give you a pretty good idea of what is recommended. |

| ![]() I just got my JuneBug from a nationally known rescue (www.mlar.org/about) and they feed NutriSource. I could not find it so with my little guy needing to have most of his teeth pulled (around 18) due to being from a puppy mill, I feed mixed kibble and canned. When I lost my 21-22yo chihuahua on May 29th (Fanny Mae), she loved Authority Small Breed. It was rated 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and is not that expensive. I am feeding JuneBug that now along with some Blue Buffalo wet mixed in. I am, however, moving more towards grain-free. An excellent one that has "NOT" had any recalls (which is rare) is called Performatrin Ultra Grain-Free Small Bites. Natura/Nutro and Innova brands have to many recalls for me to feel comfortable feeding it. Here is the website that rates dog foods: Dog Food Reviews and Ratings | Dog Food Advisor |

| ![]() I said Orijen earlier, but I wanted to retract that and note that we feed Bella and Sprout Orijen RR, Gypsy is eating Fromm's Puppy Gold (pink bag)...her tummy didn't settle very well with the Orijen Puppy. |
