Default To be

Isn't it the truth that our little monkeys seek out naughty foods? Hopefully he dropped it before ingesting too much of it. Hope it did not affect his little tum. Wonder where it came from, probably a bird? I know yesterday we were eating outside with our boy and he sat quietly on the bench next to us eying something like a squashed French fry on the ground. I kicked it away, but when my husband got up to fetch some thing, my little imp jumped down and the food was gone before I could stop him. I expected trouble but thank goodness he was ok.
Sorry about the title....To be, LOL! My iPad changes things, the rascal. Should be Tibbe!

Jeanie, you and Tibbe have really been through it for the past several months, and you've both been so strong and brave. I wish some of us lived closer to help each other in times like these, because you are right, there are so very few that I would feel comfortable trusting to care for the girls in my absence. I am praying that you have both turned the corner, and that the lazy days of summer will herald in a time free of the medical concerns that have plagued you both, and caused so much pain, worry and upset the routine of your days together. You are such a dear, and an amazing mommy to sweet Tibbe.

Little toot! And oh, he was so proud of that chunk of bread - was just bringing it right in to show his mommie his big "find" with his little eyes shining, head back and chest out! He looked so proud of himself! He'd been out hunting for big game in his mind, I guess! Just like a wild wolf coming back to the pack area with food to stash!

Course I treated him and really loved and praised him for dropping it and then immediately started fixing his breakfast with the canned hepatic food all mixed in and he got all excited about that, he didn't seem to mind not getting to eat his big "find". Hope this big game hunter doesn't have a tummy ache later on.
I was hoping to reassure you because I know how I worry myself sick over things with Katie. I have heard how much better Tibbe is doing, and I am so overjoyed he is acting just like the old Tibbe before his digestive issues. I hope he feels great today after his little hunting expedition. You are such a great mom to be so in tune with Tibbe.

Oh man how stressful! I would be the same as you... not worried about myself, more worried about my dog, lol. I am glad you are okay AND Tibbe! What a good little boy.... I worry about that too because Jackson will hold it, I almost wish he would have accidents sometimes, lol, but he would have nothing to do with pee pads or anything. I remember during the hurricane in 2011, I ran outside real quick with him to go potty around 6:00pm and he held it until 7:30 am the next morning. He refused to go on the porch or in the garage.

Default dog hero

Tibbe is a great hunter. I hope his little tummy is ok. You should have taken a picture of him with a hunk of bread in his mouth. Too cute. Now storms. How i pray you are safe. We are at the mercy of god. I pray for your safety. It must be scary. Here in calif we have earthquakes. Not often but scary. We are not to fear. Just trust in the lord. I sure love hearing about tibbe. He is the neatest dog.

Tibbe was fine this morning, ate his breakfast and has just had his training and kibble pieces for treats! I'm thrilled to death. He's not terribly active today but I think he's just being lazy as I am. He doesn't seem nauseated or anything!!! What a change. In the past, just the least bit of anything like this would give him a bad time. I don't know if he had some underlying thing that that Metronidazole cured or that his change in diet is helping his tummy. Whatever it is, I'm happy as can be.

Today we have beautiful weather!

I thought of Tibbe throughout the day. I'm so thrilled to hear he is doing so great. I'm sure he will be running full speed ahead tomorrow.

So glad it all has ended so well and that both of you are doing well!
Cali and I were in an accident a couple years ago and the argument that took place between me and the ambulance people who would not take Cali in the ambulance with me - told me they would take her to the shelter - oh yeah like I was going to let that happen!

Having an emergency plan is always good, but sometimes just not in the cards. Tibbe is such a special Yorkie and has the world's best Yorkie mommie for sure

That's awful - never thought of that that in a wreck where the person had to go to the ER, the dog is just out of luck! That's awful! Thank you for letting me know - it just never crossed my pea brain before that my baby would be taken to the Animal Control Pound if I got seriously hurt with him in the car with me!!!! Sorry about your accident and hope you are okay and no residuals hanging around.

I'm going to read your last sentence to Tibbe the next time he's furious with me for not chasing him or throwing his ball for the umpteenth time! He gets so frustrated with me when he wears me out. My little darling has NO patience with mom. He'll just snort and short and do cute tricks to egg me on and I'll just have my tongue hanging out begging to stop. Maybe I'll just remind that little Mister what you said when he gets mad at me next time!!! Wonder if it will buy me any goodwill with him!!!

Thank you all for all the love for Tibbs. He's the best little boy and so sweet. Little did I know when I brought that scrawny, funny-looking little troubled guy home what a little jewel was in there under all his issues, one of which was screaming and freaking out and running from me every chance he got. Turns out he was a keeper!

Sounds fabulous. Tibbe is doing so well he's eating me out of house and home and ALWAYS wanting to work and train, sits by the window looking for cats and generally patrolling the house keeping us safe. He's back waking early and wanting his breakfast, feisty and playful all day, wants dinner about 5 - 6 and sleeps like a top a night now. He seems to be back to his old self and we're only using half and half I/D hepatic and half his regular I/D diet. When I increase his hepatic portion over 1/2 of the meal, he seems itchy. So I'm keeping him at this level now and it seems to be working. I'm so thankful so far it's working and nothing more Draconian is presently needed.

I'd love to see those Sequoia trees! I'll bet it is beautiful up there. If we get to Cali, maybe we can stop by and visit and ya'll come to Texas when you can!

Hope you are feeling better. What little trooper Tibbe is! So stressful to have to leave him like that, traumatic for you both!
