| My new puppy, is he Yorkie or Morkie? My Gsd passed away few weeks ago. For Mother's Day my spouse brought me Home what I always wanted, a Morkie. Personally I love Yorkies and Morkies. Now, my spouse is not educated on I'll reputable breeders, and found one Online. Needless to say spouse met this person in a closed down winery Parking lot three hours away at 11 pm at night and exchanged 100 dollars for this Puppy. Now we can all a green it was about the dumbest thing one can do. I have doubts he is a Morkie. Perhaps Yorkie. Or some sort of Yorkie Mix. He Is shorter then our min pin but longer. He was born supposedly January 23rd. If this is accurate or not I am not sure but his baby teeth are missing in the muddle of his gums. His Hair is coarser, reminds me of schnauzer hair, but mixes of colors and really wavy. He has greys and browns, tan, and shocks of cream on his face that end in grey tones. His ears are erect. His coat unless just brushed has the appearance of looking oiled or gelled and kinky. Coatse hair of course could be due to poor nutrition. I have put him on Merrick's toy breed all life stages chicken, brown rice and pea with some canned puppy food. He is alert , bright, smart as a whip.Of course I will love him regardless of whatever he is and vet appointment is set for a complete work up Tuesday. Just curious. He seems big for a yorkie but does not look like morkies I have seen. Thank you.how do you attach a picture from a cell? Thank you. |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Congratulations on the new member of your family. I would take him to the vet for a wellness check. Did you receive any papers or shot records? Definitely get going on the vaccinations. To post a picture, click the paperclip icon in the tools area. There is a maximum size, so you may have to use a computer to re-size. Sorry, I've never posted from a cell phone.

Because of the circumstances make sure you tell the vet you "think" he came from a puppy mill so that they can have that on his record in the event anything happens they will know to look for all things. I can't wait to see pics of this little guy as his description sounds very interesting...unfortunately I can't do pics from my phone Iphone...not sure how.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Mixing of Maltese and Yorkies, can result in a wide variety of outcomes as far as coat color, size, etc.; there is no standard at all. I have seen Morkies on here that closely resemble the Yorkie side in color, with more wavy fluffy coat and erect ears, and others that carry the Maltese side with ears down and soft coat. I have 3 Morkies, one is mostly redish colored, and two sisters that are a creamy apricot color. I also have a pure Yorkie that almost blends in with them except for her silver back. The coat will change a lot over the first year, even into their second year, so don't worry too much about what you are seeing now. It is a natural process to loose the puppy coat, and over the year you will develop grooming techniques to get the look you like best. Now.... about the way your spouse acquired him. I have never heard of someone driving 3 hrs. to an abandoned parking lot at 11pm to pay $100 for a dog that was found online. I'm speechless. At the very least, I hope this puppy was not stolen. Good luck with your vet visit, and dedication to give this pup good food and health care, and the love he deserves.

| Hi, I am sorry about your GSD. It is hard to lose one, and while nothing replaces a lost one, your DH's gift was a sweet gesture for your Mothers' Day. I have no idea how to post a photo from a cell phone, sorry......also I have no idea what a Morkie would/should look like. Since a Morkie is a Yorkie/Maltese mix, it could look like anything...but as you said, you already love him so that should not be an issue. I hope everything is fine on your baby's workup.

| http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/...ps04153f95.jpg Maybe a link to my photo bucket. My spouse drove down there under assumption they were meeting at the breeders. She said he was cheap BC he was the last and almost four months. Spouse was delayed on trip due to work. When he arrived at address he realised it was an old abandoned winery. They were in the drive part. My spouse realised was duped, but the guy smwllt of liquor, the puppy was tick coveted and stank to high h e double hockey sticks, so paid to get him at least out of there. Needless to say I am positive it was a mill. I heard one closed down and was auctioned out in that area so no doubt she was trying to sell off reminders. No clue. Not sure I want to know especially when spouse said oh yeH she had a chihuahua pup and Newfoundland pup. Face palm. Educating spouse on how not to obtain a dog or puppy. Hopefully link works. He does have a vet setup Tuesday. Couldn't sooner BC vet was out of town |

| He is a cute pup. He may be a morkie. The color on his face looks more white than tan. Do you have a name for him?
