The mom looks kinda big like an out of standard yorkie. If it doesnt matter to you that your pup could grow out of the standard size then I dont see a problem

Im not saying anything bad about the female dog I have an out of standard male yorkie and I like that hes big he is able to keep up with our outdoorsy lifestyle. It is just if that is what you want. Your going to have this dog 15 yrs or more and it should be one you are happy with

I agree with Chachi. Buying a yorkie is a huge commitment. If you are really concerned about looks then perhaps you should take your time, study the AKC standard and find a breeder that you are comfortable with but don't forget that health and personality are also very important.
Have you already taken the other puppy back?

I think he looks a whole lot like Mom. They come in all shapes, sizes and quality. So give him a hug and enjoy him.

Wow, you found another one really fast! I would suggest taking your time.... Don't rush into it! I'm sure you can find a good, honest breeder if you will look hard!

The new one is a real cutie & looks 100%. Please don't rush, but I know your heart is feeling that momentum & it can be unstoppable. Just hate to see you get burned again. Hopefully, you know more now than before your last puppy decision. Wishing you the best!

He's a cutie, Danny, and is giving a look like he could be your best friend for life. With that established, I would want to see the Sire and Dam, and check his health records and guarantee. Good luck!

OK, I guess I was confused. I'm sorry, I skipped pages due to slow computer. I didn't realize you took the other back. Where are you looking for Yorkies? If purebred is all you're looking for, then enjoy him. Please remember there is a whole bunch more to owning a Yorkie than being purebred. It's obvious that the breeders you are finding are not breeding to Standard, and may not be producing healthy Yorkies either. Please take your time and find a responsible Breeder that is not breeding to produce puppies but Breeding to improve the Breed, raise healthy puppies, and attempting to breed within the standards.

He looks like a purebred Yorkie to me :). Some people will tell you that 8 weeks is too young to adopt a Yorkie, but that's the age I adopted my Bella, and she's turning out great! But if you decide to get him, see if you can put down a deposit and pick him up in a couple of weeks because everyone says that 10 to 12 weeks is better. And see if you can have a vet look him over. If not, get a guarantee that you can return him within X number of days if your vet finds a problem with him. And make sure they have kept his shots and deworming current. And see if he is AKC registered. That's all I can think of for now...

I've decided tonstay with jax, I was coming home and was having second thoughts.. I then walk inside the house and he just wanted my attention.. I couldn't live with myself if I did that to him after I got him used to my family and home. Do you guys think it's normal for a dog his age (2 months) loud real loud and howl sometimes? Toby never did that at 2 months.. What shampoo do you all recommend that I can use on both toby and Jax? And last question, is it normal for them to play fight and then one bites another a little too hard? Will they eventually get along and be able to sleep together? Toby is 6 months and Jax is 2 months.

That's sweet that you decided to stay with Jax :). I'll tackle the shampoo question. We use Top Paw Gentle and Tearless Puppy Shampoo from Petsmart. It's inexpensive, smells good, and really is tearless. We have no problems bathing Bella. I can't tell you about howling, but maybe after Jax gets used to his new home, he'll start to quiet down. I think the dogs will get along better too, but keep a wary eye out since Jax is tiny, young, and vulnerable. Good luck, and keep us up to date with Jax's exploits!
