Ok time for a deep breath. YT is full of amazing people and we all have different looks for our pups. I personally don't care for shaved on my two but I see some that are so cute with their little puppy cuts. OP I am sure in no time you will see some fluff. I cried when they shaved Kyra for her spay and it was just her tummy and chest lol. It has only been 5 months and she already has 2 inches of hair back.

summerbummer, Please don't feel that way. Of course you are accepted on this forum like anyone else. I've always felt emails are so often misconstrued. Forums aren't any different. Sometimes we write things and when others read them, they read them differently than how they would have interpreted it had they heard us say it in person. Also, we don't really know most or any of the people on forums, and we don't really know what's going on in their lives that influences how they interpret posts the way they do. I certainly hope you are just feeling down at the moment because of some other issues you are dealing with and that you would never harm yourself. You are obviously a good and caring person that loves your pets to be on a forum like this. I looked at your photos of your pets and they look adorable and much loved. Look at my signature. I truly believe it that you can judge a person's character by how they treat their dog. You look like you treat yours pretty good, so you must be a pretty good person. There are LOTS of members here. And just like in person, not everyone gets along all the time and not everyone would be friends with everyone in person. And some people are friends, but they still argue, just like in person. So please don't be hard on yourself. And please don't ever harm yourself. And you do belong here, just like anyone else.

Anytime you drop your Yorkie off at some groomer you do not know you take a chance of a crummy haircut or even razor burn on your dog. I have a lady come to my home, I know her well and I watch every move. I will never take my dog to a petshop or some stranger. I once had a poodle who became very skiddish and I know he was probably hit with a hairbrush or something. Please be very picky who you take your precious Yorkie to.

I have to agree with Summerbummer and Deb (Amazing Yorkies) that the groomer really did a botched up job on your dog. I would have no problem asking for a refund at all.

And I'm not saying the 'style of cut' is bad, it's the quality of cut I am having concerns over. It is extremely uneven... I really would question the credentials of the groomer! I don't care what kind of style is done, it should come out looking like it was done by a professional, as that is what people are paying for when they go to a grooming salon.

Summer I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone, taken in context that you are new and that you are still finding your way around, and learning...I know you understand that some folks like long hair and others the short hair...your belief is that it should be long, as I understand it, I'm glad that works for you.

I shave my girls and I live in one of the coldest places in the country, but I put sweaters on them etc., its just easier for me because my Mini gets rashes and my Mia gets all matted up cuz she has super fine hair and I have no patience! I love when the hair starts to grow out and is about 2 inches long they are like little cuddly teddy bears! But then off to the shaver.

I agree with you in as much customer not happy groomer at fault. Groomer appears to not know what a puppy cut or yorkie cut are. I had to teach my groomer too!!!

I'm sure many of us would like to get to know you and your pup better. Do you have any more pictures to share? We love pics! Have you noticed that we have many vendors here who sell Yorkie products and clothing? Did you read about the Gift Exchange that is done quite regularly, I would bet this is something you would really enjoy! Take a little while and checkout the different sections here on YT and maybe get involved a little bit more I think it would be a great distraction from the other issues and also something on the therapeutic side!

I think the posts are very similar, we both think it's a lousy cut and think he will need a jacket. Scrapindee said something about asking for a refund. So why was SB's post picked on? It’s really difficult when two people are giving you a hard time. This haircut has nothing to do with short hair or shaved hair vs long hair; it's about a poor haircut with actual skin showing in places. I think something like this happens when we think someone is being critical of our dogs or how we treat them. I know I hate it when someone implies I'm not doing right by Joey, but before we strike back at someone, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Summerbummer, I hope you are feeling better, I'm sorry this thread got way out of hand since the topic isn't even a controversial one. I happen to like the people involved in this argument, but I really think they owe Summerbummer an apology.
