YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() He is adorable. I have always been partial to girls and when ever I am setting down you can be sure that the three of them will be right there on the recliner with me. They each have their place. One to the right, one to the left and one at my feet. They always sit the same place around me, it is so cute.

| ![]() I don't know about other breeds, but I have a huge soft spot for boy yorkies. And the bigger, the better - bring on the teapots! Ours is ultra-affectionate and must be on or near one of us much of the time. He's down to earth, very easy going - no attitude at all. Our personalities mesh well. I love girl yorkies, too, but the ones I've been around and dog sat definitely have a different "vibe" than the boys I've been around and my household just seems to click better with the male gender. |

| ![]() I've had two male Yorkies and one female. Each gender seems to have its special sweetness so I can't really say I have a preference though I was terribly afraid to get another male when I got my Tibbe, my current Yorkie, for fear a male might mark, though Scotty, my other male Yorkie, never did mark. Still, I had heard so much about male marking, I had worked up a real worry. It was needless, though, as Tibbe is totally clean in the house and at 5 1/2 years, has never marked. I think my Jilly, the female, may have been a little calmer and more confident than Tibbe but she did not have the terrible start in life that my Tibbe did for his first 9 months, though she did have many illnesses and likely more than one injury due to her tiny size.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() ![]() ![]() I have both M/F. It's hard to explain but, I do recognize their gender, though I wouldn't say I treat/handle them differently. I raise/utilize my Dogs somewhat differently than others here. I take them hunting, and rely on their capabilities for full time security here. One might think that a Male would be better (security) than a Female, but, I assure you that is not the case. My Female Becca hunts, is just as alert and protective as are my Males. One difference I see is, that She's a lot "smoochier" than the Males. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I have only had 2 dogs and they have both been male, so I don't have any experience with a female dog. My hubby insisted on males both times. I know my Huey is a snuggler and a kisser, but since I got him so young, he wasn't quite properly socialized and has a tendency to be quite skittish at times.

| ![]() Hi everyone, its been a while since I have posted. I was ill and had surgery. Then I had to jump back into work and my classwork when I was better. But thankfully I am back. I have a soft spot for little girls. I love female dogs probably because as a child, my father never wanted girl dogs because of puppies. Back in the day most people were not educated about spaying and neutering. They never wanted the girls unless they planned on selling the puppies which was rare. |

| ![]() I finally realized the boys are more affectionate. That's why I got Pooky even though my toy Poodle is only 2. |

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() With you...ok, but, given the preponderance of personalities, both in our Dogs and Us, underlying favoritism must be a major contributor . My Male Sneakers, is absolutely the most "aloof" Dog I've ever had, and My Junior Male Ichabod is not far behind him. When approaching Sneakers, like taking his head between my hands, and getting nose to nose with him for a kiss. He will turn his head away, resisting contact, but I can see his tail wagging when I do that. However, when My Female Becca puts her nose up to his, he kisses her willingly. I'm so jealous ![]() ![]()

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | ![]() I have two girls and a boy...the girls are much calmer than my rambunctious male....they are wonderful snugglers, where as my boy can't sit still for five minutes....he is forever getting the girls all worked up to the point of one of them getting ticked and the next thing you know there is a growl....followed by a bark...the big bruiser just will not back off...pretty cute to watch, as the girls are a third of his weight.

![]() One thing that I see is absolutely adorable... Ichabod is the most pesky Puppy I've ever raised ! He is just relentless in wanting to play and gets sorta rough with My Female Becca. She is the consummate Alpha Female, and raising Ickey like he was hers, and takes it all in. Anyway, occasionally Ickey forgets that My Male Sneakers is a no "BS" type Dog. Very Alpha Male, serious, and all that goes with that "position". Ickey, in his exuberance,, tries to play with Sneakers like he does Becca. Nipping at his feet, rolling over in submission, only to let Sneak back up a little, and Ickey attacks again. Sometimes, Sneakers gets enough of Ickey's puppyness, and slams him down with his paw, takes his whole head in his mouth, and growls viciously ! Now, here's what happens that's so cute... Becca, seeing Sneakers anger, rushes over to Sneakers, takes his cheek hair in her mouth, and ever so gently pulls him away from Ickey. When I saw that the first time, my Heart just melted. ![]() I think I'm the luckiest guy in the world, to have been blessed with such great animals. ![]()

I have seen my kitties break up dogs that were getting too rough, and my dogs break up kitties that were getting too rough. I've seen my kitties double up their 'fists' after 'stiff-leg walking' across the floor to 'bonk' on the head another kitty who they've deemed deserved it. I've seen one of my kitties 'thunk' Yorkie Mia's head to the kitchen floor more than once because she was kissing him so much he couldn't catch his breath. ![]() But... That is just the cutest thing! How sweet is Becca to do that? I love it! ![]()
