| Bah, my boys get bully sticks, but not often. I give one to each of them once every other week or so and take them away when I'm not home or at night. They rarely chew on them after the first night I give them. They are 8 inches I think and I throw them away when they get too small. Dexter went 7 years before needing a Dental and Fletcher is over 7 years and still has not had one. However my Fletch is overweight, the vet said it was from being fixed when he was 4 years old.

| How ever you feel about them. MOKI needs to chew.He doesn't like nylon, antlers nothing. They get bacteria from all the crap they eat outside also. If you feed raw theres bacteria in there also. But I do agree with the caloric intake. But Moki takes3-5 days to eat six inches. I cut the soft parts and throw it away when it's about 1-2". So he really isn't getting all those calories but he doe always feel thicker. So I cut him off for a week or so. I never had a problem with my dogs. Then again some ppl who won't feed Bully's will feed greenies |

| Think about what they are made from! Does it really surprise anyone that they could harbor cooties?!

YT 2000 Club Member | I made sweet potato treats in the oven! All my dogs love them, too! Wash, slice potato lengthwise into 1/2 slices; place on pan w/parchment paper; bake @ 250 for about 3 1/2 hours. Turn 1/2 way through; cool & store in freezer. You can peel or leave the skins. The skins have nutrients, too!

As far as bully's go, I say...to each his own. My pups will never have them. That's just how I feel. I can find other treats for them that I believe are better for them.

| Yup! Some are just plain gross. A certain number of bug parts is allowed and considered safe. My cousin used to work for a Kosher hot dog company- He was a vat cleaner- Tons of maggots but the food was still considered okay for consumption- He will still never eat a hot dog!

| 1 maggot is too many for me. I am pretty sure if anyone actually went to processing houses and slaughter houses they would go vegan or go out school and slaughter themselves! I try to buy as many things locally as possible.
