| I asked my husband and he said poodle without thinking. I still don't know how I talked him into getting a yorkie. We love our Crim Dill!!

| Cocker spaniel? Beagle? I adore both these breeds and have had several during my lifetime...always wonderful family pets and companion dogs! |

| ♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have a cairn. She is the greatest dog. But very, very smart. And they need positive methods for training they are defiantly a big dog in a little body. Lots of energy when they are pups. My daughter has one and we rescued one from the pound my brother has. Maddi gets along with the yorkies. But once in awhile she wants to play and they do not want to. My daughters cairn gets along also with the yorkies as does my brothers. The cairns tend to be rougher players and the yorkies do not care for that. But all three sleep in bed with us every night and for the most part get along...

| How about a Silky? They are similar to yorkies but more laid back and a little bigger.

| I have a Chocolate Lab & 2 yorkies. They get along GREAT! Although, my Lab was already 8 when the pups came. I don't know what it would be like to have a Lab puppy around a Yorkie.

| Miniature Schnauzer. I have a yorkie, mini schnauzer and schnorkie (hybrid if the two breeds) here...perfect pack balance. I hear Maltanese do well also but since you want diversity, mini schbauzers have a different yet cihesive persinality and look.

| My old neighbor had a Cairn terrier and she was the sweetest dog around. Very friendly and smart. I think a Cairn would be cool.

| My sister has an english bulldog and I definitely would not recommend them with a yorkie. They drool, have issues with their breathing, snore like old men and are just gross... My sister's dog has to have her skin flaps cleaned daily or they get infected. She also had to constantly wipe the dog's butt because it would poop on itself... Not my idea of a fun time. Also, I believe Lindsay Lohan's EB killed her yorkie... That's enough for me to stay away.
