TBH while I'm a full blown Yorkie lover now, it was my wife's choice to get one and I was reluctant at the time. So now it's my choice. I don't want to get another "girly" dog breed like a Maltese or a Poodle (even though we're getting a female). Originally I wanted a mini Schnauzer but for whatever reason she's not a fan. I also like Scottish terriers, Carin terriers - most terriers in fact. A Westie might be cool. Jack Russells seem kind of mean to me and are always bullying my Yorkie at dog parks. |
Oh, I forgot to mention, my mom rescued a Cairn when I was a kid and she was one of my favorite dogs ever! She was definitely not a "girly" dog- just a true terrier- happy go lucky, ready for action, etc. She was the only one I had ever been around, but she was just great!
