| Ok, probably a stupid question, but i just dont know:what is the difference in a parti yorkie and a biewer? Symmetry of markings?

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | I think that is the difference between them...the Biewers were developed by Mr and Mrs Biewer in Germany. They can't be registered with the AKC, whereas the parti yorkies are. The more I read the more I am confused... Are they not all yorkies..period? Not trying to start a debate just saying I am confused...BTW my Jersey is a Biewer. The parti yorkies are not readily available here...There are two breeders in Canada that breed the parti, both in Alberta. Not too many Biewer breeders here either...

| I can see why Jersey is a Biewer. She has beautiful markings.

| They all come from Yorkies originally but Biewers are now a separate breed. They were bred in Germany, yes- they were bred for their color mutations. The standard is different for them than for "regular" Yorkies. Parti Yorkies are a different type of color fault and can not be registered as standard Yorkies- but are Yorkies just the same. Does that make sense?
