| When I got Dallas Bubba from the pound, his name was Peanut (which I didn't like). I was leaning towards Tuffy, Sammy or Jack (Jack Daniels). But he is Cowboy colored, and thinks he is the biggest most important thing going, so Dallas it was. Beaumont J. Dogg was Baron from the breeder. I ixnayed that. I wanted to keep in a Texas theme I was leaning towards Bexar (pronounced bear) or Waco, but I liked Beau best. I suck at naming my dogs, it took me two weeks each to come up with either name. If I ever go nuts and get a girl, she will be Abilene or Abby for short. |

| I will be getting my baby in a couple of months. She's not born yet but her name is going to be Miley. I was going to name her either Aria, Lilah, Maycie, or Princess Tiana (I have a thing for disney princesses haha) |

| Scoobers was supposed to be Wiki Tiki Hula Girl... We thought why not the pound is calling her Scoobie so a girl named Scooby Doo will be funny-what was funny was finding out at pick up Scoobers was a boy. Princess was supposed to be Ebony or Blanca... Ironic naming because she is pure white, but when my daughter chose Elvis already named, we wanted a King and Princess...we already had a "Queen-bee" at the time.

| Belle was supposed to be Roxy. I had her name picked out years ago, but BF hated the name. The night after we picked her up, my family was watching Disney's Beauty and the Beast and decided that Belle would be a perfect name for her.

| We waited on Huey to name himself. We watched him at the breeders from day 1. On about week 4, someone made the comment about him being bigger than his sibs..."what a baby Huey". My hubby and I exchanged a look and the name was set. We must have a thing for weird "H" names because our last dog (yellow lab humane society mutt) was Homer-but he looked like Homer Simpson!

| Katie's registered name is Rigair Yabba Dabba Doo and her call name was Kate. Since she was three years old when she joined our family, I didn't feel right about changing her name. What I didn't realize was that Katie was used to the Russian name for Kate since her breeder is Latvian. We could have changed her name after all, since she didn't seem to recognize Kate. It turns out we love everything about our little girl, even her name. It wouldn't have been a name we picked ( my husband's sister calls herself Kate), but it was the name that we knew for her, and she became our precious Katie.

| Ella was going to be named Tatum (2-3) YEARS before I was even getting a puppy! I completely forgot about the name once I got her.. I really loved the name Bella, but I thought everyone had a puppy named Bella! So I dropped the B and ended up with Ella.. Some people still get confused and call her Bella! Lily was almost named Abby. I was going back and forth on calling her Lily or Abby.. But once I took her home, her name was officially Lily! |

| After we already picked Ziva, I thought Maya might work- she was born on May 5- cinco de mayo... But Ziva has been perfect for her. For Abby it was a toss up between Abby, Jenny or Kate (NCIS) but one look at her the only choice is Abby! |

| We never had any other names for our dogs. Buddy was Buddy from the moment DH met him and it was the first thing that I called him when I met him, as well. Blazer was Blazer from the moment DD1 suggested it on the day he was born.

| Troy had his name for nearly a year before we got him. My daughter named him after Zac Efron's character in High School Musical. She said that our next dog would be Troy if it was a boy and Gabriella (Gabby for short) if it was a girl. Trying telling a 6 year old girl that we are changing a dogs name after she had been dreaming of him for the past year probably won't go so well. There wasn't even any consideration to change it when we got him because the breeder started calling him that and he was responding to it. So Troy it is.

| Sophie Kate had the name "Sophie" when I got her (and she knew it), I knew I had to add to since there are A LOT of Sophie dogs and Sophie little girls. On the first night she was with us my friend Katie was visiting, Sophie Kate plopped herself in Katie's lap like she belonged there so I decided to add the "Kate". I should add she will come to both Sophie and Sophie Kate along with various other nicknames I have for her.
