| We got Mandie from a couple who decided they didn't have enough time with their new work schedules to take care of her (she was only 3 1/2 lbs and 4 months old at that time). Her name from them was Sophie. I, actually, loved that name and wanted to keep it but hubby thought it was too Ritzy sounding for us country folk lol. I told him to think of names and call me when he thought of something. The phone rang and he said "Candie or Mandie?" I was outside at work so I started calling both names I like I was calling her to me. I fell in love with Mandie as a name. So, her "barely" almost other name was Candie. Her real other name was Sophie

YT 2000 Club Member | Teeka Kiara was supposed to be Jazmine or Jazzy for short. Then my husband made up the name Teeka in remembrance of Tameka who had recently passed. I still love the name Jazmine!

| Lilo was almost named Kahlua after my favorite drink but we negotiated and she became Lilo Kahlua after my friend suggested the name Lilo after the spunky girl from lilo and stitch. I couldnt let go of the name Kahlua so we just added the two together. Leo was after Leonardo from ninja turtles and he was almost named Bently. |

| I love the name Jazmine, too. My Pom (my baby dog before the two I have now) was named Jasmine. I always called her Jazzy Face.

| Tibbe was Tibbe from the start though about a week later, I begin to think Teddy would be cute for him since I make 5-joint Teddy Bears and collect them. But, Tibbe was already so strongly imprinted with that name in my mind, I couldn't call him anything else.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I wanted "Jill" from the start as a tribute to a Yorkie I'd just lost. His name was "Jack," and I thought Jill was a good name to come frolicking after But my wife wanted something fancier, more girlie. She said "Bijou." I wasn't a fan. I think the deciding factor was when I tossed the idea out here and on Facebook and everyone who knew Jack was overwhelmingly in favor of Jill. We settled on the full name of Jillian Bijou, and I had to promise to never call her Jill. Well, what my wife knows won't hurt her.
