YT 2000 Club Member | Yorkie hair styles!? I am curious if you keep your yorkies in a full coat or a puppy cut. I am torn as what style to give my 21 week puppy. Max has a short cut because my husband prefers it as it is "his" dog! My yorkie that recently passed had a full long coat for many years, then I started cutting it into a puppy cut as she got older. With Teeka, I would like a puppy cut, but I still want to put a clip or barrette in her hair! So would it look goofy to keep her in a modified puppy cut with semi- long hair on her head? If any one has a picture of a similar style would you post it. I do all the grooming myself. Self-taught by trial and error. Any tips or input would be awesome!

YT 2000 Club Member | I like that style....not too long but not too short! Is the top of the back clipped shorter or all one length?

| I think she will look darling with a puppy cut and a top knot. I've seen lots of yorkies that way and they look so cute!

| I do a puppy cut for Bubbles in the summer because it gets really HOT here...then we let it grow out starting around September so her coat will be full by the time it gets cooler. During the Fall/Winter, I just do some scissor work on her face to keep the hair out of her eyes....she's never tolerated a top-knot well.

| I keep Sophie in a puppy cut because she has a modified cotton coat that is very soft and thick and because I like the look on her

| I just trimmed Blazer today. He's in a puppy cut. I was going to let him get long for the winter but it actually seems to be causing more problems- he loves the snow (when we have any!) and the longer hair just catches and holds the hair. I just trimmed him up to get him clean looking again and to allow him to see properly. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I watched a couple of YouTube videos just before biting the bullet and grooming him myself.

| Thank you, Deb! I was going to post a picture of my Maddie for you, but couldn't find it on this new computer. I keep her body short, but her legs, tail and face long. She's the one with the cotton coat. If I can find it, I'll post it later!

| I keep both of my two in a shorter cut on their body and they have longer head hair. I definitely do not think it would look silly to do that Both of mine have top knots. I keep their hair super short in the summer but just grow it out for the winter for warmth. Here are some pictures: 1. Couver's face hair. I keep his ear hair, beard, top knot and leg hair long. 2. Khloe after a hair cut. I trimmed her legs because she mats so easily. I keep her beard and top knot hair long and trim her ears to keep them from flopping. 3. Couver right after a hair cut. I only do this during the summer. I completely shave his body and keep his leg hair long. 4. This is about the longest his hair will get before I cut it.

| I keep my boys very short on their bodies (because they wear clothes everyday), but I keep their beards fairly long and a top knot. Works great for us! Best o both worlds!!

| I keep sammis hair short all over as its easier to groom and keep tangle free, plus it also really suits him
