I keep both of my two in a shorter cut on their body and they have longer head hair. I definitely do not think it would look silly to do that
Both of mine have top knots. I keep their hair super short in the summer but just grow it out for the winter for warmth.
Here are some pictures:
1. Couver's face hair. I keep his ear hair, beard, top knot and leg hair long.
2. Khloe after a hair cut. I trimmed her legs because she mats so easily. I keep her beard and top knot hair long and trim her ears to keep them from flopping.
3. Couver right after a hair cut. I only do this during the summer. I completely shave his body and keep his leg hair long.
4. This is about the longest his hair will get before I cut it.
