Really, 50 miles isn't that far. My husband drives 60 miles to work each way every day. It takes him 50 minutes, but 15 minutes of it is through town, so it could much faster if we only had a bypass. So someone driving interstate the whole way could do that in 35-40 minutes. It's possible someone could have found your dog and turned him in when they got back home or something like that. You really never know. How far away from where you live is that? Or do we have any member near there? This whole thing is tearing me up. I feel like Benji is my dog...

I might add that, even if this turns out not to be Bengi (I pray pray pray it IS)...how can they see the condition of this pup and just be so fast to get ready to adopt it out? I mean, he is neutered and obviously well fed and groomed..he is SOMEBODY'S baby! (sorry..that just aggrevates me)

It does look like Bengi. I pray it is. It would be so great if it were him, and he was back at home before the holidays. Does anybody know if she saw this post yet and called the lady about him? I am so excited even thinking this might be Bengi, and he might be home soon.

Thank you everybody. I spoke with this other person Carla gave me and she was more helpful. She wasn't allowed to send me more pictures but I sent her mine and she will check if he looks like Bengi. But She also called me from her cellphone from the cage and I spoke to him, but he didn't react much. She said his ears were already up when she got there and then he kept looking at the phone. I would expect much more than that if that would be Bengi. But she will look at my pictures to compare the rest of the body, like the tail and also check the nose, cause it does looks darker in the picture they have posted.

PS: That other lady WAS indeed totally nasty like other people said. I even cried asking for more help and she refused. She's supposedly a volunteer but wouldn't give me her name cause she didn't want to get "involved" in the issue. Such a heartless woman!

I will tell you that the nasty lady said the same words to me about "get involved". And, if I heard correctly when she answered the phone, her name was Donna.

As for the phone thing with the dog - my dogs hear me or my husband on the phone and they show NO reaction most of the time. I'm just so thrilled that you spoke to the lady that has a heart and will work with you.
