Bengi is lost! - careless hotel housekeeper caused it!!! need your HELP!
 
Hi everybody. I haven't been here in a long time, but I used to be an active member, I remember some of you, altough there are a lot new members. I have been busy with a toddler and a newborn, so no time for posting and stuff.
But now I need to vent, I need comfort, I need yorkie lovers' friends...
My beloved Bengi got lost over the weekend. We are from South Florida but were spending a few days in the Orlando area. We picked a pet friendly hotel and notified the receptionist when I checked in that we had a dog, and paid the pet fee. By the time I got there, they didn't know where he went and we didn't know where else to look for other than the last place he was seen at.
We tried looking over the weekend and visited shelters, posted on craigslist and contacted the hotels in the area, but we had no luck.
If you live in the area and see him or know somebody that does, please help me find him. We are totally heartbroken, I can't stop crying all day and my 2 1/2 daughter keeps calling him and looking for him under the bed :(

What hotel? So I know the area and I will contact friends. Also do you have an iPhone or iPad or even android phone? If so add PetRescuers and list your little guy as missing.... If you do not have any of those devices I will list him if you like.

Oh, I'm so sorry you have lost your baby Bengi this way. You must be worried sick and exhausted from looking. I know there are articles in the Library here about things to do to help find a lost dog and a few tricks of some things to try to help guide them home but in a situation like this, it might be a little tougher. Was she chipped, wearing a collar/harness/tag/I.D., etc.? If chipped, is the contact info correct, updated, etc.? Don't despair, though, someone may hear you are looking and know right where they saw him! Somebody likely picked him up and is holding him, waiting to see if they see an ad, sign, handout and maybe is even looking for you. Have you bought ads in all the local papers & looked at them everyday or looked online for all of their "Lost And Found" ads to see if someone else is running one? That's all I can think of right now.

I am so sorry that Benji is lost... I cannot imagine how you are feeling. Does the hotel not have an explanation for how he was lost? They should be held responsible for losing your dog.

i don't want to disclosed the name of the hotel yet, but it was in the Lake Buena Vista area, in Palm Parkway, and he was last seen around the Embassy Suites in that area

He was wearing a collar and it had our current cellphone number; he wasn't microchipped though :(
I'm going to try the local newspaper too, thanks!

we're dealing with them, waiting to hear from corporate. the security director admits it was cause for not following the rules and being careless (housekeeping) and that I did everything I could to prevent it.

I am so sorry this has happened! My heart breaks for you and your family. I will keep your family and little Bengi in my prayers. Hopefully, someone is taking care of him and is trying to find who he belongs to, and he will be back home soon.

I would call the news and get his picture out there!!!! And disclose the name of the hotel that way the news will be more inclined to cover the story!!! I live in Orlando. Let me know if I can help you.

My ex-fiancé just saw this add today, he lives in that area....
I Found a yorkie in the bvl area.....if she is urs plz contact me with her discrption.... 321-4443-8205

I know if says SHE but never hurts to call!!

I would request the hotel officially help you look, run ads, hire a scent dog to sniff out his trail, etc. or you could call local TV stations with your story!
