| She's a cutie, but definitely not purebred. It's too bad your breeder lied to you

| A real cutie, but not a purebred yorkie. If the "breeder" provided AKC papers, it should be reported. They do investigate these matters. Although many years ago, I fought a breeder on a Maltese. AKC took up the investigation. In the end, I just got a letter from the AKC stating that I should never breed the animal because it was such poor quality and so unlike the breed standard. Nothing happened to the breeder really - but I did cause her some grief. |

| Ya, I agree with everyone else, she doesn't look like a purebred Yorkie at all, but as long as you love her that's all that matters in the end But that is dirty of your breeder - I know many think papers aren't important if you just want a pet, but to me, AKC papers ARE important, as is paperwork proving the health testing of the parents, and I'd want to talk to others in the Yorkie community about the breeder's reputation. It's worth spending the extra money to KNOW you're getting what you paid for, so many back yard breed dogs can have alot of genetic issues, especially as they age, that are far less common in dogs that are well bred from healthy bloodlines. Both of my Yorkies have been rescues, so, of course, I didn't care about papers since I was only interested in saving the life of a dog that needed a good home.

| Your puppy is adorable. Like others have stated I don't believe she's 100 percent Yorkshire Terrier. Due to her cost and the person you purchased her from not responding to you, I would say you were not told the truth. There are so many scams out there now, sad but true. Many years ago I purchased a Yorkie from a breeder, he said he owned the dam. When I asked to see the mother he proceed to tell me she was not at home but with their handler. He did manage to show me a photo in a gorgeous frame, saying that was her. I went ahead and purchased her. Several weeks later she died from Parvo. When my vet asked where I had purchased her from, I told her. She gave me a huge list of people to call. Long story short.............this fellow was not a breeder. He bought puppies from puppy mills, stored then all in a storage area (like where you put furniture) and this is how he made his living. Several months later and a lot of hard work, he was arrested and the remaining puppies were put up for adoption. It was a nightmare. |

YT 1000 Club Member | What a darling little girl she is !!! But, sorry to say that's not a PB Yorkie. We're going to hear some of the "naysayers" comments on this, but... At some point, one must rely on Empirical Evidence and can do so through a DNA Test. The Databases for them are growing day by day, and from the one I have used, is absolutely accurate according to the paper trail/linage. I used: Dog DNA Test, Dog Breed Test - Wisdom Panel Canine DNA Testing | Wisdom Panel

| She sure is a little cutie!!! I rescued my Freddie and he's a yorkiepoo...however he looks totally yorkie. My daughters dog is a yorkiepoo and if you look at my avatar, they look totally different. My daughters is soooo much bigger and just different features. My daughers dog was $2,200!!!!!!!!!! Luckily my daughter didn't pay this, her boss bought the dog and he almost died because he was so allergic to the pup. They even had to exterminate the whole house before the man could return home. Yours must be mixed, but so adorable!!!! |

| Is that her full coat or has she had a puppy cut and does she shed. She looks a lot like my bear, except bear's coat is already that long at 5 weeks and will get fluffier. Bear is a yorkie/maltese. Teddy was a fluff ball at 5 months. If it is naturally short I would say some chi mixed in. |
