| 5 month baby & gucci collar I got my 3 lb, 5 month old baby this collar is size small for fashion to wear around the house Gucci - adjustable dog collar 247245FP4IG9774 (yes I'm nuts) he has had it on since yesterday morning and it doesn't bother him at all. I walk George with a harness not with this collar. Is this a bad idea to leave it on him while left alone? Or could this irritate his skin or anything like that? Thanks in advance! |

| It looks really hard and uncomfy to me but I'm nuts about making sure Callie's collars are 3/8" and very soft. I would possibly put a smaller softer collar on him for every day wear and use the expensive collar when yall go places or have people over. If he is staying in a crate I would worry about his tags or collar getting stuck. Mine wears her collar all the time with her tags except bath time.

| With a collar there is always danger of strangulation if your pup was to get caught up on something (crate, furniture, etc.) I would definitely save that for when he's attended. It's very stylish If you want to leave a collar and tags on him when he's alone, it might be a good idea to get a break-away cat collar. Welcome to YT

| I can't really see which one it is because the link doesn't work, but if it's one featuring the dangly heart I would be careful only because puppies tend to chew anything hanging long enough from their necks. If you crate her, any tag or ornament can get stuck on the crate. Bebe has a Tiffany heart necklace (it's really a bracelet lol) and it wasn't even really loose on her (I could fit only one finger between the necklace and her neck) and she somehow wedged her jaw into the space. So the bracelet was stuck across the inside of her mouth and I had to unclasp it while she was panicing. And that all happened with her on my lap, so I couldn't imagine it happening while I was gone. She doesn't wear necklaces anymore..

| I always have collars on mine ! They also are never out of my sight, I want to have their tags on them always IF they would accidentally get lost. They are never loose around the house when no-one is home, so they can't get tangled then, they are in a crate then.

| I always have a collar on Ziggy! He is tiny (03lbs so I am very happy to have a collar with a bell on him all the time. His skin is fine, hair is fine (sometimes matts form though because he has a long coat, but I find silky texture collars work well)

| Careful with bells now apparently too. A member put a collar and bell on her dog and left it unattended, when she returned she found her dog contorted and then saw why, her dog got its nail stuck in the bells slot! I'd never leave a collar on when they're unattended if I used them.

| Cute collar, but that is a big price to swallow. I use to leave Bentley's collar on but after reading everything on here I take it off when he is in his crate. I will be looking for a break away collar tonight at PetSmart so that way his collar can stay on most of the time and not be worried about coming home to find my pup hurt or gone from his collar. |

| My personal opinion is that a puppy left alone can get into lots of trouble. I never left Gracie alone with a collar on until she was full grown and even then I made sure that she had no problems with it for a few weeks before I left her alone with it on. |

I personally see collars as more a risk. I'm cobsidering tattoos also. The what ifs are always going to be there breakaway collars are safer but will also fall off. So we all choose our own risks.
