It looks really hard and uncomfy to me but I'm nuts about making sure Callie's collars are 3/8" and very soft. I would possibly put a smaller softer collar on him for every day wear and use the expensive collar when yall go places or have people over. If he is staying in a crate I would worry about his tags or collar getting stuck. Mine wears her collar all the time with her tags except bath time.
