| questions bout cocoa with pictures 1. first any suggestions on how I can tell the groomer to shape her up. She looks scraggly but still adorable. I do want to let her coat grow if its going to look soft but I cant tell if she is going to be to cottony or what. She got groomed a week ago and they cut her coat on side so now it is shorter in places. 2. Her hair dosent seem to really be changing much just mixing black gold and white. Is there anyones that dogs looked like her colors about 6 month old and what do they look like now. 3. Also these eye brow bangs still wont lay down. Even when I pull her hair back they pop back out. And do you think its still to early for a daily top knot. Here are some pictures. They are of her eye brow bangs. face and arm

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | She is a cutie!!! I don't know the answer to all of your questions but I can help by giving you a comparison.. Max is a month older than cocoa and we had to have him groomed (i.e. shaved!!!) at 4 months b/c of matting. See album. His hair is more wooly or cotten like on his body and a bit silkier on his head. The hair on his head has changed completely to silver/ white with blond highlights and is still changing every day it seems. I don't have any suggestions on grooming except to bring a picture of a cut you like. Also, I don't think it is too early for a top knot if you use bands that wont break the hair. I think there is "yorkie" product you can use to hold the brow bangs out of the eyes. Cocoa is such a beauty! I can't wait to see her in a few months to see if her hair changed.

| You can put in a top knot when the hair is long enough. I started putting Mia in a top knot when her hair was pretty short to get her used to it. I have not used the product, but there is top knot gel. It is mentioned in several threads...not sure which right now. As for what to tell the groomer...when I took Brody the first time, not knowing what look to ask for, I made certain she understood I was going to grow his coat out. I'd suggest making sure any groomer knows that little detail, and make sure the groomer knows you want the top knot left alone. Mine only get a "mini-trim" which she offers by that name, but it includes faces, ears, paws, sanitary, nails, and anals...she doesn't touch the body. Your baby's hair will continue to change and will become obvious eventually as to silky/cottony and you'll probably have to wait a while to see his final colors. Mine are 2, and still changing.

| Cocoa is a cutie! I know that my male looked really scraggly as a puppy and now has a beautiful silky coat that flows... I'm thinking about growing his hair out. I think Cocoa will mature and will have a beautiful coat as an adult. She's beautiful

| I tried to hold back Elvis' "eye lashies" with some lanolin I prefer HPA Lanosinoh Lanolin (you can get it at Target even (just get something natural and safe chances are your baby will ingest it) until it grew out to be long enough to go into a top know-it worked wonderfully. Unfortunately he rips out top knots as soon as I can put them in so back to a short cut we be, oh well he's a boy. She is adorable-I'd ask the groomer to scissor her ends and leave it to grow. Careful the groomer fully understands whatever it is you want.

| Thanks everyone she has bren to groomer once bit just a get use to it visit. I just didnt know the best thimg to tell groomer that are typical yorkie things like with her eyes... Last groomer cut her hair in corner of eyes now its poking her eyes as it grows. I didnt know if i tell them to thin or trim chest and feet or does it stay long also. I love my sweet girl.

| yorkie common cuts HI, there are different kinds of hair cuts that you can give your yorkie. The most common are the schnauzer cut where the top of body is short and the head, legs are long and around the body is long its like the dog has a skirt around. I tried this cut on my male yorkie because he has more of a thicker, wooly coat and it did not work out so I gave him another common yorkie cut which is the chinese crested cut, where the whole body is cut short but just the head, legs and tail is long and I love it on him. I cut his face hair a bit shorter and he has his leg hairs long and his tail, he looks so cute and its so much easier to maintain. Then you have the puppy cut where the coat is cut shorter all throughout the body. Regardless of the cut you give your pup they all look cute in any of these cuts. I have attached photos of random yorkies with the cuts that I have mentioned. I hope I helped you out a bit on what to do with your pups cut. Now with his facial hair I would just tie up his hair in a top knot to keep his hair away from his eyes if he has shorter hairs near his eyes tie up his hair in a top knot then add a clip to hold his shorter hairs near his eyes thats what I do to my male and it works and it looks really cute. |
