| Flea Tick Preventitive Treatment.... Hi... I have 3 yorkies - 2 girls & 1 biewer boy. I HATE USING DRUGS or pills on them unless absolutely necessary. My vet encouraged me to use flea tick preventitive so last year I used Frontline on them, and I found a few fleas. This year I switched to Advantix. My girls went nuts itching from it, so I switched to Revolution - well yesterday, my worst nightmare came true. Yesterday morning I applied REvolution, and yesterday afternoon we ended up in the hospital due to a reaction... dizziness, dry heaves, loss of appetite. Needless to say, I was hysterical. People don't understand that these little dogs react differently than other dogs do. What do you YORKIE PEOPLE use if anything? anything NATURAL? don't use anything at all? Suggestions are welcome... Thank you. |

| I am so sorry you had some bad experiences and I hope your baby is doing better today. Frontline doesn't work here so I use Advantix and have never had a problem with it but my baby is 16 pounds.

| Thank you for posting this, I just ordered these. My poor babies are allergic to fleas, so despite them being on K9Advantix2, and Frontline before that, and me spraying the house, treating the yard, and washing EVERY freaking thing in this house, they are still itching There are no fleas that I can find, but all it takes is just ONE and they start scratching themselves silly, ugh! I have high hopes for the treats, thanks again!!!!

| I was hoping some Yorkie yakker would be able to provide us with a natural remedy for such a thing perhaps an essential oil or holistic herb. If you are out there please share |

| flea treats are all natural. if you use an oil such as lavender or lemon or whatever you need to apply it everyday. i would always forget to spray cedric down when i left. for me this works i give them one after breakfast and one after dinner havent forgotten yet and i have not seen a tick on cedric since we started.

| I used diatomaceous earth on my two when we had a flea outbreak last year, but I found when I didn't apply it daily... The fleas would be back. It is natural, and it works... but you have to be diligent and apply it daily. I now use Advantix II and haven't seen a single flea. I also am treating the cats (with something else... can't remember) and couldn't be happier. For me, I like natural... but it also needs to last longer than a day to be worth it.

| Vets Best makes natural flea and tick sprays Dog Products | Veterinarian's Best: All-Natural Products for your pets' health. They have to be applied frequently to be effective. I used it last summer, but still had fleas after spending time in the country and ended up having to use capstar when we got back home. My Bella has the same reaction to fleas (itching and scratching) so I'm trying 1/2 tube Advantix II on each of my girls this year. Vets Best is a peppermint and clove oil based product and I still use it on my carpets and furniture... It is worth a try if you prefer the natural route

| I am so sorry for dogs are going through this. Corky is larger dog, so Thank god he has not had any bad effects of his flea meds. My sister uses lemon and water and pray on her kids cat.. But it has to be done daily. |

| i am so sorry you had to go through that. I use something called Prac Tic on Ziggy (he is 3lbs) I only started when he was 6 months old (before then he wasn't going outside anyway) and it is treating him well. i have never found a flea on him, and he hasnt had a reaction.

| All of our dogs (Tatum the yorkie and 2 Aussies) are on Sentinel year round (for fleas and heartworm) and then plus Comfortis during the peak flea season. Sentinel on the 1st of the month and Comfortis on the 15th. Works well for us.
