| Crying/Whining under couch So Geno has started in the past few weeks to going under the couch and just crying/whining for at least 15-20 minutes. I look under and say, "come here baby, come geno" but he just continues to cry. I talk to him while he's under there but he still cries. Anytime I go to touch him when he's under there, he hurries up and moves as far away from my hand as possible. I'm not sure if he's just doing it for attention or if something is actually wrong. After about a half hour or so of being under the couch, he'll come out and grab a toy to play or drink some water as if he wasn't just under the couch crying for 30 minutes. He usually does this if I'm watching tv or on my laptop. Occasionally he will do it while we are playing or start to go towards the couch mid-play. Is this normal yorkie behavior?

| Awe poor Geno. How old is he? I wish I could figure out what normal Yorkie behavior is I can tell you Georgie leaves the room when we are watching sports he doesn't like the loud noises and being a Steelers fan I tend to cheer a lot during football season I would suggest if you feel like something is really wrong take him to the vet otherwise just give him attention and love and he will be fine.

| He'll be one on May 27th. And I know exactly how it is, being a Steelers fan myself. My boyfriend prefers hockey so there is never a lack of cheering with Geno around lol well except for now cause no one in Pittsburgh cares about the Pirates. I thought about taking him to the vet, but I just wanted to make sure I am not overreacting and have it turn out that this is just a common behavior or something yorkies here and there tend to do every now and then.

| I would take him to the vet & have him/her check his neck & back to be on the safe side. I sounds as though something is deff bothering him & could be a certain movement that you are unaware of. |

| Corky, goes under the sofas and chairs and will not come out. I think they just need to be alone sometimes. |

| are you SURE nothing fell inbetween the cushions and got down in the sofa, perhaps a favorite toy? My dog was under the couch whining for weeks I could NOT for the life of me figure it out.. one night she did it for so long I got up flipped the couch over and discovered her ball and a bully stick had somehow gotten inside the couch and made its way under the springs.. I had to rip the meshy stuff off the sofa and pull them out!

| I was thinking that too but he goes under both couches and also goes under the couches at my boyfriend's and mom's places. I was figuring he just wanted to be left alone but he's alone all day while I'm at work. He was just at the vet about 2-3 weeks ago for heartworm test and I didn't even think to ask. Could something really be wrong with his neck or back which would cause him to go cry under the couch?

| After he'll stop crying, he'll seem so lifeless under the couch, like he passed out. The one time I stuck my arm under and poked him and he didn't move which is weird cause he usually scurries around when I touch him under the couch. I started freaking out and quickly moved the couch up and over to make sure he was ok and he seemed bounced up and seemed alright.
