| I think when Tibbe was sick this winter & I had him x-rayed, they did his entire body on one film and I believe it was $73.00 for the film/reading. Turns out he had very early focal pneumonia & because I caught it practically the day it began - certainly the day he began acting "funny", a single, simple round of antibiotics cured it & 3 weeks later, a re-x-ray & bloodwork showed a cured dog. The vet said had I waited even a day longer, Tibbe's lungs would have been far more invaded & the pneumonia very widespread. I was so glad I just got him in within 2 hours of the first wrong thing I observed. That early vet trip saved him so much suffering & serious illness & even worse. Just tell the vet up front if you do have financial concerns & I'm sure they won't do anything unnecessary & just do a check-up for any obvious things.

| I know this is an old thread, but I was just wondering if you had any other updated on this? My Rocky just turned one years old a month ago and just started doing the same thing as yours. Our couch is kind of low to the ground and at first we thought he was just whinning because he got stuck there and when we lift the couch he runs out from under there. But he can get out on his own too when I offer him treats, and he keeps climing under there. There are no toys there and his physical exam by a vet was normal. We think he's doing this for attention. What did you come up with Courtney? thanks. Last edited by RockyDad; 01-13-2017 at 01:40 PM. |
