are you SURE nothing fell inbetween the cushions and got down in the sofa, perhaps a favorite toy? My dog was under the couch whining for weeks I could NOT for the life of me figure it out.. one night she did it for so long I got up flipped the couch over and discovered her ball and a bully stick had somehow gotten inside the couch and made its way under the springs.. I had to rip the meshy stuff off the sofa and pull them out!
