| Glad things are better now I had a hard time with my babies too, skin and fur Once you get into a routine, it gets easier, and of course when you are in love with them, it helps you keep your sanity.Enjoy your baby

OMG, too funny about the Frito Feet!!! Just to show you how awsomely wonderful my doggie is (ya, I know I am obnoxious about her, I can't help it, she is the freakin love of my life - WAAAYYYYY more than the ex husbands (yes 2 of them - figured out I hated being married), she has Frito Body. It isn't her feet that smell like corn chips, it is her head I think. I can't figure it out, she just smells like corn chips when she is all sleepy. She is conked out on the couch beside me on the giant snuggie and I am smelling corn chips as I am writing this. I wonder if there is any kind of "scientific" study done on why dogs smell like corn chips.

Beanie is just the best dog. She hardly EVER barks. People cannot believe that I have a Yorkie that doesn't yap. She is the most well behaved dog when we visit people. She will just sit quietly on my lap and look at everyone. If I go over someone's house for dinner, I tell her to go in her bed and she will sit in it and just watch everyone eat. Does not beg for food or make a peep. When I am home, I can actually have her on my lap when I eat and she won't even try and get my food. When I take her to be groomed, the groomer doesn't want to give her back to me because she says that Beanie is the sweetest, best dog she has ever seen and cannot believe how well behaved she is. She has "fans" all along where we walk, everyone loves to see her and she LOVES people and other dogs. Although I am really careful about her being around other dogs, I make sure the dog is friendly and I kind of hang onto Beanie's harness while they sniff each other. I had a terrible experience last month when 2 large dogs were off their leash in the park across the street and they ran up to Beanie and, if I hadn't been quick, one of them would have had her in its mouth. I flipped out on the owner, who told me to calm the eff down. You can imagine that the scene was quite ugly. I have since talked to other people who own dogs in my area and they know about these 2 dogs and the owner. She is really lucky I didn't smack the crap out of her, except her stupid dogs would have eaten ME. I really see the difference from dog to other dogs when I visit friends who have dogs and the dogs go nuts barking and one stupid Maltese always nips at Beanie when she tries to play with her. My dog does not make one bark while other dogs are yapping their heads off. She startles me when she does bark, it is like whoaa where did THAT come from. O.K., enough of my total obnoxiousness about my PERFECT dog. ahahahahahahaha

Georgie definitely barks wouldn't call it yapping because it's not constant. He is perfect for us we can deal with the barking we always say that's his way of communicating with us As a matter of fact when he was sick he didn't bark much at all so it's become music to our ears that he feels better and barks now He is the King and we just learn to give him what he wants LOL

I know what you mean about when they DON'T do something annoying because they are sick and then start doing it again when they feel better. It is such a relief. Beanie never stays still, she is so hyper sometimes, it drives me crazy (her one imperfection - LOL). But the couple of times she got car sick, when we got home, she just went in her bed the rest of the day and I was so worried about her. I wanted her to get up and be hyper running all around the house and wanting to play constantly or go out for a walk/jog. I am assuming that as she gets older (she is almost 9 months), she will calm down???? She IS a lot better on the weekends when I hang out with her all weekend and we go visiting or walking in different places. I do spend 3 hours with her in the a.m., come home for lunch and spend an hour with her and then the whole night when I get home. I try to walk her 3 times a day for at least 15 - 20 minutes per time. We walk/jog, but she STILL has energy when we get back in the house and runs around some more. Phew, I can't keep up with her!!!

I can totally relate to this post. I got mine about 7 weeks ago and while I never thought about giving up I have told people that it is much more work than I expected. That said I wouldn't trade it for the world. Zoe is my first puppy experience and I too read everything I could get my hands on as I was going to do everything perfect, unfortunately my Zoe didn't seem to go by the books . She doesn't pee and poop withing 20 minutes of eating like all the books says she will do, she pees in her crate even though it was very small, she never wanted to eat breakfast until 11:00 am, etc, etc. however, she does sleep with me all night long without making a move, she is starting to run to the door and scratch when she has to pee, she consistently poops morning noon and night she looks at me and cocks her head as if to say I love you for all your dedication and hardwork. She has stole my heart!
