I can totally relate to this post. I got mine about 7 weeks ago and while I never thought about giving up I have told people that it is much more work than I expected. That said I wouldn't trade it for the world. Zoe is my first puppy experience and I too read everything I could get my hands on as I was going to do everything perfect, unfortunately my Zoe didn't seem to go by the books
. She doesn't pee and poop withing 20 minutes of eating like all the books says she will do, she pees in her crate even though it was very small, she never wanted to eat breakfast until 11:00 am, etc, etc. however, she does sleep with me all night long without making a move, she is starting to run to the door and scratch when she has to pee, she consistently poops morning noon and night she looks at me and cocks her head as if to say I love you for all your dedication and hardwork.
She has stole my heart!
