Oh...I somehow missed that little detail...lol You poor thing! I would be going mad! I remember the Saturday we picked up Brody...I was riveted to the counting of minutes til the appointed time the call was supposed to come...and almost in a state of panic when it wasn't on time...lol When I knew I was going to see if Mia was a good fit for Brody, it was pretty much the same...wanting to fast-forward time. lol So, I can definitely relate!

I guess there'll be more pix of him on YT in a few hours, then...?

There was a doctor, a surgeon in fact, who attempted to climb mount everest...he froze his hands and his nose so bad that they had to be amputated. I don't recall if they were able to do anything for his hands but I DO know that they regrew him a nose on his forehead! Then turned it around and transplanted it on his face in the proper place when it was the right size! Medicine is AMAZING...but I do not expect to have Willi's ear spontaneously grow back. LOL! It's okay..I think it makes him even cuter!

As for the waiting...it's EXCRUCIATING!! AND! I have not had final communication from the rescue that they were actually able to get Willi from the Foster last night like they were going to so I don't really know yet whats' going on!! :'(

It is amazing what can be done medically!

Willi certainly looks like he's got 'personality plus' from the pix! I wouldn't have even noticed the ear...lol

And...that's what I am talking about...the waiting...the not knowing what's what...the things up in the air! I was afraid, when I didn't get 'the call' that they'd changed their minds. I'd already waited 3 or 4 days. It got worse when I called them a couple hours later and they wanted to put it off until Sunday. At first I agreed, but that wouldn't leave Brody any time to get used to us and the house before we deserted him to go to work especially since we had stuff to do on Sunday, so I called them back and insisted and we did the deal later Saturday. I was really glad I did, too...worked much better IMHO for Brody that way.

But, tonight it'll be 'cuz !

Having just read a few more posts, I now know that Ellington has leather ear on his nose too.....which makes him look a little funny! Is there anything that would be safe for his nose...or will he just lick it off?

Vinegar solution wash and coconut oil would be plenty safe, and, yes, he will lick it off, so you would probably want to rub the coconut oil oil on frequently and/or liberally.

I already use distilled white vinegar to clean the mildew out of my showers (and bleach to remove the stain) full strength, and about 30-50% to clean floors (to keep the smell less and so there's water to loosen dirt), etc., so I would think you could use it for leather ear. I'd think you could use any dilution from 100% vinegar on a cotton ball to 50% in a spray bottle...I'd not spray it because I'd not want it misting into his eyes...but I doubt I'd dilute more than 50%. At 100%, the vinegar smell would be strong until the coconut oil went on at least, but even at 100% it shouldn't hurt him although it might sting a bit if there's an open wound. It would be most effective the higher the strength, however, but I think it's sort of up to you what kind you use and what strength. I'm pretty sure I'd use whatever I 'had' on hand or whatever I 'chose' from the cabinet...lol...but I'd not use my favorite 'eating' salad vinegars.
