2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | There would be no need for a dental to be done if you are brushing every day and there is no tartar build up. I wouldn't wait until she was two to have it removed that seems a bit odd to me. Quincy retained one of his baby teeth and the doc pulled it during a schedules visit. If she isn't spayed yet, that would be a good time to have it done since she will already be under Anastasia.

| mine has a tooth like that,if it dosen't fall out i'm going to have it done when she gets spayed. Strange your vet didn't mention that. Every appointment we've been to they open her mouth to check it out. I think it was your vets responsibility to inform you of this before she got spayed. I can't see her needing dental until a few years, esp where you brush them daily.hopefully they will fall out on their own |

| Yoshi had his first light cleaning last summer at 6 yrs of age. Also when Miss Priss had her spaying she still had all of her baby teeth but now has double canines on the bottom. If they don't come out I will have them removed. My vet always checked her teeth at every visit too.

| Emma was spayed a month ago and I hadn't noticed that her baby teeth weren't coming out. Looked last week and was surprised to see two full rows of teeth on top including her canines and a few doubles on the bottom. I took her back in last week and they put her in twilight and pulled out 13 teeth. It was a quick procedure and she did just fine. The vet said I shouldn't wait and they needed to come out to prevent decay and misalignment of the adult teeth. It cost me $134 including bloodwork and take home meds.
