| Welcome sorry I got long. Awesome job on the harness not a collar. Pedigree is not a fav I prefer Taste of the Wild in the Roasted Wetlands Foul flavor for my dogs. There are many favs here to each their own don't be mislead by small breed specialty brands or just because a food cost the most doesn't make it the best. And then you have to ensure the dogs eats it... corn is bad never feed a food with corn it has minimal nutritional value and is basically a cheap filler-such things really affect dogs more when they are smaller in size (a lot of small breeds especially do better on grain-less diets-no rice, wheat, corn etc) also a good rule of thumb it doesn't need to be pricey but if yiu arent shopping at a whole foods market you really shouldnt be buying dog food there most of it is junk and over priced for its quality. Also great job not only contacting animal control and the police departments but be leery of any random claims to her...sadly a found dog add is a free dog ad to some people ask for a description or they bring a pic the real owner would appreciate that welcome to yorkie talk oh I use dental sprays mine all don't like the tooth paste you can get at the vets.. If you end up keeping her because she is unclaimed-please find a vet that will do teeters instead of just re-vaccinating her-you don't know her history and over vaccinating is dangerous-even more so in small breeds. So glad you found Yorkie Talk! It's a wealth of information here (opinions too so sort through it all). WELCOME!!!! Oh Yorkies have hair and not fur so using a good brush, along with shampoo and diet will really make a dramatic difference in appearance! Small dogs don't know they are small, heights (decks, stairs, vehicles, beds, furniture, etc) can be a difficult transition for those used to large dogs.

| Cancer Diet for Dogs |Dog Cancer Diet | Canine Cancer Diet True, (ish) everyone definitely has their own opinions on canine diet and foods as much we do our own preferences of diet. We don't eat corn in my house at all. We also try to avoid gluten-the research here is new thus controversial, for now at least. Grains are NOT natural to a canine diet we have one dog on a RAW diet almost exclusively and we follow the model prey diet...we also do more BARF than RAW actually.

| It may have been in our local papers but it was several years ago when I was working as a paramedic. It is not an uncommon thing to happen. Many of the MVA's that occur do have pets involved in them. I really encourage people to keep their pets safe especially during highway travel. |

| Don't mean to be cynic but be careful- there are folks who will call and claim a dog that has been advertised for a while so they can turn around and sell them. Only interested in the $$$$$. I hear that a lot on Criags list. Kudos to you for taking care of this darling Yorkie - they will own your heart in no time

I thought about that when I was making signs and posting online about her so I have not added any pictures of her and haven't let it be known she is spayed (or that she is a she for that matter). I figure if someone has lost her and are looking they will know these details and what she looks like. Is there anything else I can do to insure I have the correct owner?

I have started asking for pictures of their dogs. I have had a few people email me from craigs list and 2 sent pictures and she definitely wasn't theirs and the 3rd still hasn't emailed a picture.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Also you could ask for the name of the dog, and see how she responds to the name. My foster had a name and a nickname and we don't use his nickname too much, but even after 6 months he still responds to it.

| Another update... She is still with us. I've been calling her Ting Ting and she does answer to it. I had a few emails and none have turned out to be the owner. I've had a couple more of people wanting to adopt her. I have grown very attached to this little girl. If I do find the owner would it be inappropriate for me to offer to doggie sit for them if they needed it? My husband and I have decided that if we cannot locate her owner that we would adopt her. My husband kept saying we DO NOT need another dog but I think she has worked her way into his heart too. |
