Help me choose my puppy part 2!

I feel you should really think about it. If you really want them both then get them. You will be paying for them and taking care of them. I would hate for you to regret your decision based on listening to other opinions. Both are adorable.

They are both adorable, loving, friendly puppies. Whichever one you get, you will have a wonderful pet who loves you.

Don't feel bad about leaving one of them there. Outgoing friendly puppies are probably outgoing and friendly to everyone, so the one you don't pick will still get a wonderful foreover home.

As far as the naysayers - don't worry about them. I'd be curious to know if they even have dogs or if they are just miserable without the little bundles of joy. Again, you could ask the breeder if she would take a deposit on the boy and make payment arrangements. I just can't imagine you leaving that darling little boy behind. Not to mention his sister will be missing him too. Jack had a sister with him when I bought him and often times I wish I would have bought her also. I don't think it would have been much harder to raise two and actually may have been easier than raising one. Good luck again!

Thank you, I try hard not to listen to everyone. I guess it just caught me off guard because getting a puppy is such an exciting thing so I thought everyone would feel that way!! I have a feeling the breeder won't accept payments but I guess it can't hurt to ask!

Thank you! I have definitely wrestled with this decision with no end in sight lol! But hopefully we figure it all out soon! The puppies are a little over 10 weeks old and the breeder said they are doing so well we could even take them at 11 weeks so I'm running out of time.

Oh believe me I have thought about it lol! It's been all that's on my mind for weeks now. I am definitely going to make my decision based on our best interests but I have loved reading everyone's opinions as well!

Thank you! I have always wondered if these same two puppies do the same thing to everyone lol! All this trouble deciding over nothing haha! But even if they did I still feel like there is something special about them. We have visited puppy litters before and it's never happened, especially twice. I do know he would have a loving home wherever he goes! (I would hope so anyways!)

I think you should take everything into consideration and make your decision and dont look ack. No matter what you are getting a sweet little girl. The male will get a good home also even if its not with you.

This is your family's decision, not everyone else's as someone mentioned earlier. There are always plenty of people that have nothing but negative comments. Just ignore them. They don't understand us multiple dog lovers! We like having multiples for the same reasons others do. Mainly, they keep each other company and they are never truly alone that way, even if you're gone. My son had a cocker spaniel that had terrible separation anxiety and was very destructive if left alone. But, she was fine at our house. Eventually, we ended up taking the dog because he couldn't handle it anymore. Just something to think about.

I agree but shes given reasons why it maybe isnt a good idea like her Husbands not on board and also shes moving in a couple of months but she rents now. I dont think anyone is being negative just taking the info she has given and try to give her beneficial advice. I want her to get both also but I want her to do it because she wants to and its the best decision for her not that we swayed her into it when she has doubts and its not best for her family right now

Awww I can definitely see how dogs would happier with other dogs around! My mom actually has multiple yorkies and they are the best of friends

You are correct, that is exactly what I meant. We have friends and family that think we're nuts for having 4 dogs. Maybe we are, but it's our decision. Just like it's your decision whether to take the girl, the boy, both, or none (I know, you already plan on taking the girl, and I don't blame you!). All our dogs are girls as I have stated in your other post, and we will ONLY take GIRL dogs. No boy dogs for us. That's our decision based on our previous experience with boy dogs. I completely understand your situation and the reasoning for taking only one puppy. It's harder when you rent, that's for sure. The point is to do what is right for you and your family, no matter what anyone else thinks. You're going to love that little girl though!

Oh I see well I wish you luck with your decision. Having 2 pups at the same time isnt for everyone however as I said I have done it and it worked out for me

I have mentioned many times how I still regret not getting Gracie's sister when I got her. Now as I look back it would have been so much easier to train them both at the same time and not have to worry about introducing a new Yorkie to her at this point.

But you have to consider some things like how much time and devotion you want to give to training. Are you home during the day? My little one was really easy to house break but I have heard that some people have a hard time with it. I guess if you have never had a small dog you have some leaning to do.

Is the dog going to be yours or your daughters? One thing about kids is that they love puppies but rarely are around when the rubber meets the road. Kids have school and activities and friends and moms and dads are the ones who get the real work in having a dog. So though your daughter may like the female it's going to basically be your dog in the end. She will love the male when you get him home. He is adorable and his ears are already up. It doesn't sound like you really want two dogs so get the one you want.

Yes I am home all day everyday so I definitely have the time to train both. We plan on surprising my daughter with the puppy/puppies but by no means do we plan on her being responsible for them. She is not old enough just yet. We just want her to grow up with a dog because she LOVES my mom and sister's yorkies and so do we. We always spend weeks at a time at my parent's house and when we come back home to no yorkies my daughter and I are both sad! We are SO excited!
