I have mentioned many times how I still regret not getting Gracie's sister when I got her. Now as I look back it would have been so much easier to train them both at the same time and not have to worry about introducing a new Yorkie to her at this point.
But you have to consider some things like how much time and devotion you want to give to training. Are you home during the day? My little one was really easy to house break but I have heard that some people have a hard time with it. I guess if you have never had a small dog you have some leaning to do.
Is the dog going to be yours or your daughters? One thing about kids is that they love puppies but rarely are around when the rubber meets the road. Kids have school and activities and friends and moms and dads are the ones who get the real work in having a dog. So though your daughter may like the female it's going to basically be your dog in the end. She will love the male when you get him home. He is adorable and his ears are already up. It doesn't sound like you really want two dogs so get the one you want. |
