| ![]() I would think it's who picks you. Sounds like the little boy has done just that. It's a tough decision for sure. We've only had boys so I can't speak for girls. Good luck. |

| ![]() I do need to add that the girl also picked us. There were 5 puppies total and 3 of the puppies were scared of us and never came to see us one time out of the whole 40 minutes we were there and these 2 came to us everytime we walked up to the play yard. The boy did it the most because sometimes the little girl was busy running around or trying to play with the other 3 lol! |

My furkids Donating Member | ![]() Tough decision is right! they are BOTH so stinkin adorable!!! As everyone said here I wouldn't be too concerned about the watery eyes...all 3 of mine can get watery eyes,..could be hair in the eyes,...like some have said....Although they are both adorable...I love the little males face!...and like others have said...a soft cotton coat can mean lots of work...let the puppy pick you!

| ![]() Ok, they are both super cute...but its not looks that will matter when it comes to being a good pet...its personality. When I went to pick my puppy, I let my breeder pick the right one for me. She knew their personalities better than I could judge, and she is a professional...I told her about my lifestyle, my experience, what I wanted/expected my lifestyle to be like and she picked the best puppy for me. For me, that's one of the reasons to search for a good breeder...she should be matching the puppy to you and your family. Can't really expect an 8 week old to make that kind of decision ![]() |

| ![]() Looking at the second set of pictures you posted - how can you look at that little boy and not fall in love with that face?!? He is saying, "Please take me and make your home my forever home...." I have had both female and male dogs. In my experience, the female, though she was a loving dog, was loving when she wanted to be. All of my males have been loving regardless. As far as marking, if you have him neutered before he starts marking, he won't or shouldn't mark - again, the belly bands are great! As far as the little boys coat, I would think that you would probably want to keep him in a shorter style so the matting shouldn't be too much of a problem. And it sounds like he has the sweeter personality and a better fit with your daughter. Good luck! I would hate to be in your shoes...

![]() Every single time I think I have made up my mind I end up reading/thinking about something else and go back to having no clue. An hour ago for about 5 minutes I was set on getting the girl, and now I am thinking the boy again. The only thing I can think to do is spend MORE gas money and drive the 6 hours there and back to see them one more time. I just worry that they boy will be bought (right now I have a deposit on the girl) and then I will always wonder if I should of switched my deposit to him. | |

| ![]() They are all cute, I would go for the boy who followed you around.. instinct. Plus my boy bonded with me, which is why I chose a boy instead of a girl. He loves my husband, but my hubby says he's considered chopped liver once I'm in the house. :-) |

| ![]() Thank you all so much for all of your advice!! You have all given me a lot to think about! I am going to email the breeder today and set up another meeting with the puppies! Everyone cross your fingers that the boy will still be available when I get to go see them! I'm so afraid someone will buy him! |

| ![]() Seems to me like you really don't want that boy to be bought...hmm. Maybe that should tell you something?

| ![]() Yes...you can! ![]() A bond can be instantaneous and last a lifetime. If you cannot get both...and who wouldn't want both of those cutie pies ![]() ![]() I 'knew' 14-month-old Brody was 'mine' the instant I saw printed words on a sheet of paper...not even a photo or personal visit, and 'knew' 17-month-old Mia was mine when I saw her photo online. When looking for a companion for Brody, out of hundreds of dogs, there were 2 others I 'knew' belonged with me...one, a Parti-Yorkie, was in a shelter too far away, the other, a Malti-Yorkie, was a case of only email allowed to contact the shelter...they never replied to me, and he was adopted by the next day, but would have been at a local pet store in 2 more days where I would have taken him home. I still consider these two little guys "mine" which is why I keep their photos ! ![]() I have had lots of male dogs of several breeds and mixes and never had one mark inside my house, not even the unaltered males. Both males and females can be affectionate, devoted, etc...it depends on the puppy itself. If you are concerned about the coat, check the color reflected by the eyes...red is a caution flag as it indicates a cotton coat, but if that's the puppy that wants you most, maybe coat ceases to be an issue, same as puppy biting, teary eyes, wide-set or floppy ears, incorrect coat color, size, or whatever 'faults' they may have. ![]() So, yes, yes, yes...please do not feel bad about choosing the pup who so obviously chooses you! Good luck...I am sure you will figure it all out and take home your 'real' fur baby. ![]()

| ![]() Shine a light in the eye (may need a dark place or camera flash) and look at the color. Gold-green-blue = silky coat, red=cottony coat. See the image of Yoda at the top of each YT page? http://www.yorkielane.com/Health/eyes.htm

| ![]() Going strictly on looks alone (cause I didn't meet them); I'm partial to the little girl. But then I have a female yorkie so maybe I am biased! Both are so adorable I don't think you can go wrong.
