| Thanks for this information, its been very helpful. We tend to buy alot of toys from Petsmart and Petco for all our pets and recently our youngest little yorkie poo was suddenly sick and we thought she could of chewed off the squeaker off the toy and swallowed some which made her very sick. The vet gave her antibiotics and is slowly recovering. |

| OMGosh!!!! What in Sam Hill were they thinking??? Their creators should have 'human tested' these toys personally. This is truly terrifying...my Yorkies love toys!!! What do ya s'pose is next...??? Gosh, I hope the tainted toys are only from Petco...I have only ever bought a poopie bag holder from there.

| Our Dex found a sock in the basket of clothes waiting to put away. it's been a favorite now that we tied it in a Knot. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Lol. I think Jazzies most favorite thing in the whole world besides Mags is my socks. Every night, I take them off and lay them beside the bed on the floor, and every night, she HAS to have them, lol. She doesn't chew them or play with them though, she just lays on them, like a comfort blanket or something.

Whenever we finish with an old pair of socks, I give them a wash then tie them together in a big knot, then re-knot, and keep re-knotting until it's almost a ball. Harry's a big chewer, but this lasts for weeks...it also occupies him trying to undo all those knots Once he succeeds, I re-wash and re-knot!!! Sally + Harry x | |

| That's scary is there anything we can trust anymore? Let me guess these probably came from China. I'm wondering if washing all new dog toys before giving them to Callie would work?

| Now if only Walmart would clean out their dangerous toys and horribly dangerous and unhealthy dog treats. |

| Petco and Petsmart both are still carrying chicken jerky from China so they still have some cleaning to do.

| The quick answer is CHINA! They poison so many things, even their own baby formula. Remember that from a few years ago? I try to never buy anything from China which is really difficult to do.

| So, did anybody figure out if they were from China? I would bet most of the dog toys are made there, since most kid's toys are made there. I wonder if the dog in the video, Charlie, was the only one who got sick and why? Was his the only tainted toy? Was it a coincidence that he got sick after the toy? Maybe he got in to something else, he seems like he'd be a dog who gets outside plenty. I hope somebody posts a follow up if they hear anything about the tests on the rest of the toys. I'd like to know if these toys are truly a problem. I bought a dehydrator on Amazon for 34.99 and have started making my own chicken jerky. Yesterday i wrapped the chicken around sweet potato strips and dried them. My girl LOVES plain and sweet potato! I did notice the dehydrator says to put the treats in the oven on 165 for 30 mins to make sure any salmonella is killed. You can make them in the oven, but I think the dehydrator is probably cheaper to run, and it doesn't tie up the oven. Next time chicken is 1.99 or less I will make her a pile! |
