| ![]() Wow. 1st off I'm very happy the OP has been reunited with her loved one. 2nd, where the heck was I on January 11th, when pages of posts were made? I must have been out of my mind (well that's most days). thirty-nine pages later and I'm happy to say, what a nice read with a happy ending. |

| ![]() [QUOTE=Nancy1999;3837776]Maybe they had a good reason for not wanting the original owner to get the dog back? QUOTE] I started thinking the same thing, but I don't feel it's their right to decide that. If the person that took the dog from the clinic did this on the sly then she must be someone that feels so strongly that she knows what's best for the dog that rules don't matter even if it means getting fired. A person like that is often described as a zealot and in the long run does not make the best decisions. I posed this question earlier, what if someone had such strong opinions about who is and isn't a fit pet owner that it clouded their judgment when giving information to a pet owner. The report glossed over this, but the dog was attached by another dog in the home. What if the worker at the vets office felt that patching the dog up and sending it home where it may get attacked again was not in the best interest of the dog. So when given the chance to get the dog away from the owner they may have overstated the injuries a bit. I have no proof, but the holes in the story keep me wondering. Personally I would not have a large breed dog like a German Shephard or Doberman living with my Lola, but I know there are a lot of YT members that do so without incident. I don't think those members would like being judged by a vet tech on if they were a good pet parent. LOL I should not be thinking up scenarios in my head but I can't help but wonder why someone would risk getting fired when they could have tried to get the owner's permission to surrender the pup. |

| ![]() You both have great points and Dblain, your posts always make a lot of sense to me. It's easy to blame this or that but, as it's been said....there is not enough info. I find it hard to believe that this woman was neglecting her pet and just said "forget it". I really would think that the vet would make a statement that the woman wad lying rather than say they fired the person that took the dog. I am really good at detecting insincere actions and watching that previous owner in the video makes me believe her story. Maybe the woman that took (stole) the injured animal wanted to pay to fix the animal out of compassion....it wasn't the vet office that gave the pet away, it was an employee.... Is it ok? I REALLY don't think so....however, on the other hand....I would be happy to find my pet really didn't die and is happy. If that was my pet, of want it back.
