You both have great points and Dblain, your posts always make a lot of sense to me.

It's easy to blame this or that but, as it's been said....there is not enough info. I find it hard to believe that this woman was neglecting her pet and just said "forget it". I really would think that the vet would make a statement that the woman wad lying rather than say they fired the person that took the dog.
I am really good at detecting insincere actions and watching that previous owner in the video makes me believe her story.
Maybe the woman that took (stole) the injured animal wanted to pay to fix the animal out of compassion....it wasn't the vet office that gave the pet away, it was an employee....
Is it ok? I REALLY don't think so....however, on the other hand....I would be happy to find my pet really didn't die and is happy. If that was my pet, of want it back.
