Snowflake is my 4 year old bichon frise, she is my first baby and Max's older sister. |
It's a sad situation, but I'm very happy to hear that he is finally feeling better. As was suggested earlier, a tiny bit of honey might help his throat, which must be sore from the way you describe it. Just to think that Kacee used to sneak and go to sleep in our closets when she was a puppy and get shut in them for awhile made me very careful that we didn't do that again. I think your lil guy will get over it, but he will probably never want to be near a closet again. |

Thank-you and yea he's probably scared for life. But he doesn't have to worry about anything like this ever happening to him again for as long as he lives. |
I would invite them over for the night to sleep in YOUR closet!! |

Great idea! |
Oh, wow! I would have been too furious to keep my mouth shut. What do they have against this poor little guy? If they did not want to take care of him they should have said so from the get go. That would cause some big problems in my family. My pets are treated as well as my children ever were and if people don't like it then they don't have to stay. I don't want to insult your family or anything but it takes a really hard heart to do that to a little animal that is in a strange place. It is just plain cruel and disrespectful to you as it is you little one. It seems like they could have put themselves out for one evening to take care of the little guy. It's not like he was going to be there for days at a time. I'm sure he will get over it rather quickly but I would be furious for long after my dog forgot about it. |
omg that makes me pissed, what were they thinking, someone needs to lock them up in the closet, poor baby |
I thought he was getting better Ok so I thought my little guy was getting better, but I was wrong. He just threw up... and he pooped on the floor, his stool wasn't loose, it was PURE liquid!?!?!?! They must've fed him something besides his dogfood, because thats all I left for them to feed him. His paws, and ears are very warm and he's taking very short breathes. He isn't just traumatized he's sick!!! This is making me angry all over again. We don't have an ER vet anywhere close, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to take him to his regular vet. I am freaking out right now and I just don't know what to do.. |
Awww! Poor little thing! I'd be pretty mad myself about that! |

I am so sorry that your baby is sick,I know that you are worried. Try to keep him quiet. If you can take his temp you should. I dont know if there is any over the counter meds that would help. Can you call an ER vet clinic and ask if they are to far away? I will be keeping you and your baby in my prayers. |
I think that if you can find an ER vet within an hours drive. You need to take him. What you are describing does not sound good. |

Just checking in on your lil guy. Hope he's better soon. I'm sorry for the way your family acted I know it has to be very upsetting for you. |
An aunt of mine had what I think was a Maltese puppy her ex-husband did the same thing to her dog, I lived with them for a summer, the one and only time he watched me as a young child he did the same with me. This guy was an accomplished business owner well known/respected in the community, anywho your sister needs some help, my aunt divorced him over the incident & other things a few months later never saw him again... doggy day care remember this before you let her watch your future children... true story. |
