Unlike you I would have NOT been able to keep my mouth shut, and no, you are not over-reacting. I could understand if a little kid put him in the closet as a prank and it was only for a short while but to know that your mom was aware and let this happen totally blows my mind. I hope poor Max feels like "himself" real soon and forgets this bad experience. Give both your babies lots of love and enjoy the day with them! |
Come and vent all you want. What they did is so absolutely wrong. Poor Max baby. He's jut a baby! I can't say what I really think as this is a family friendly website. Hugs to you, hugs to Max, that has got to be the most heartbreaking experience. I can't fathom what it feels like to lose all trust you had in your mom and sister. |

Blows my mind too!! I think they're both crazy. And I sure will, though I think my other baby just really wants to go for a walk but we can't Maxy doesn't feel well (& i refuse to leave him with a babysitter) so she's pretty upset with me right now. |
I just know how mine are just when I have to close them up in our bedroom for a short bit while a repair man is here so I know how freaked out Max must have been to be in a closet. I would have been very upset and said something also. |
Poor baby. I would have gone crazy on my parents and sister. |

Thanks, & you're right he is just a baby. It makes me sick to my stomach think that I was a in a comfortable bed, sound asleep, and my baby boy was locked in a closet crying his lungs out with people I tought I could trust. It sucks that those people were my own mother and sister, but in reality I was always closer to my father and brother (they were away at a church retreat so they werent there) they seem to understand me more and take my side. So when they get back home I can only hope my father tries to at least make them understand what they did was wrong and that I am not overreacting! |

I'm flabbergasted that it was your family that did this to your baby. You must have been numb with shock as you were gathering your things and getting yourself & your pups out of there. I don't know that I would have been capable of getting out of there without words flying. The "respect" you talked of would no longer exist for me and I'd have let them have it. Hugs to you and Max both :) |
I live in Marietta and would be happy to watch your little ones when you need help, I have 3 Yorkie s and a big King bed that we all share, I'm so sorry that happened to you. |

Though you are 4 hours away from us I wouldn't mind the drive if my baby will be comfortable!! thanks!!! |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 356474 He finally crawled out of my lap and into to his bed, progress? But he just looks so sad. I wish I knew what would make him feel better. I am going to go get him some ice cream and see if that helps. |
That is abuse! I feel so sorry for him. I'm sure some nice boiled chicken would melt in his mouth.:) |
I can only think it is like Teresa said, it is the "It's only a dog" mentality. But then why would they let one sleep with them if it's only a dog and give it that almost human status and relegate the other to the "only a dog" category and thus no problem to stay in a closet. I imagine you are completely perplexed and cannot blame you. Well, live and learn - even families we love do really really really stupid things. Glad yours won't have another chance with your babies, though. Give them each hugs and kisses from Tibbe and me! |
Awww, look at that baby, he DOES look sad! Hug that baby for me too! |
